Well, I don't have a tablet but I do draw my comic on pc online through a site called 'Deviantart muro'. I also draw traditionally on paper.

I do not have any drawing tablet or pc or laptop,I draw on my android phone with bare fingers..
I also draw on paper..

When I made my very earliest comics 15+ years ago, I always both pencilled and inked on paper or bristol board. Then I moved onto pencilling on paper and then inking digitally, and then eventually I just started doing everything digitally because it's faster, easier to make changes and takes up less space. The only downside to me is that it requires more screen time, making regular breaks important, and I can't sell or display "originals" (which I have done both of in the past, exhibiting my old pages in an art gallery one time and selling some of my pencils to an interested collector another).

I do have to use the grey "felt nibs" for my wacom though, or use the rough surface type tablets because drawing on a shiny surface feels very wrong for me. I like a paper-like texture.

My very first comics were on paper: I had only one reader (my little cousin) and for her I learned how to ink with G-Pen and Sakura pens. Later on, I buy a cheap Bamboo Pen tablet and learned Manga Studio 4, the program now called Clip Studio and I started to draw full-digital! Buying screen tones isn't a weight on my wallet anymore. :sparkles:
One year ago I buy my first drawing tablet with screen, an XP Pen, and it's been a life-safer: I enjoy drawing digitally so much more now that I can see the lines I'm drawing directly under my hand (sorry if I'm not good at explaining in English ).
I'm not going back to making comics traditionally (for time-saving reasons mostly), but I feel that starting with ink and paper has been good for me. And when I want to relax I draw on paper: the tablet is great but hasn't the same feeling.

yeah paper is more hard when you accidentally ink the wrong line and don't have undo :cry_02: I mostly redo it

Yeah, white-out is one of the most important tools when working traditionally. If white-out is not enough, I cut a new piece of paper and cover the part of the page that I need to redo, and draw again there. Hopefully, one can use some tricks and avoid redrawing the whole page

You're welcome! Every trick that makes you enjoy drawing and avoid suffering is good, in my opinion.

I make the sketches on paper, since it's faster and I have a better grip. Then I scann the pages and do all the inking and coloring on the computer using Clip Studio Paint and my drawing tablet XP-Pen Star G640.

Back in 2015 I used to do all the inks on paper then fix any minor mistakes on the computer besides doing color and lettering.

i don't have any scanner since we don't have enough money :sweat_02:
so , I take a photo of it and do the same thing on my mom's phone ( yup I also don't have my own phone :sweat_01:)

The method is not of import for as long as you achieve the goal. A lot of people do what you do

I started drawing my comic with my tablet! However, when I was younger I'd do everything on paper. I don't think there's anything wrong with starting on paper--if anything it might be faster if drawing traditionally comes more natural to you. I draw my work in Adobe Photoshop.

yeah i also do everything on paper
sketching panels
inking
coloring
i just use my mom's phone for editing ( dialogue) and uploading :sweat_02:

I don't own a drawing tablet or a computer, I just use my Android smartphone to do all my art and comics, usually I star out with a sheet of paper, draw my sketch on it, then I upload the picture to what ever art app I feel like using (usually Artflow Studio for line art and coloring, and Ibis Paint for text and balloons) and just edit it. I'll sometimes do the sketch digitally but I find it much easier to upload a traditional sketch instead.

I use windows tablet (tablet pc) for adding flats for screentones (sometimes coloring/painting) I like drawing it on screen it's intuitive for me. But still, i prefer to pencil & ink traditionally.

both! I do my lineart/inking on paper and then color it digitally with a wacom intuos

I have 2, one is an Wacom intuos from 2017 that I mainly use because it's small and convenient (plus it has express key buttons) and the other is a huion display tablet that I rarely use because it's big and inconvenient. They require different drivers so if I want to use one tablet, I have to uninstall the drivers of thr other. I do draw traditionally but I don't make comics traditionally because the cost wasn't worth it to me.

For my first comic on tapas, I did the linework on paper, then I would scan it into the computer and color with a tablet. My newer comic was done 100% on tablet!

When I started the first one i just had a basic wacom bamboo from like 2011 or 2012, but in 2019 I upgraded up to a Huion screen tablet (GT-181 Kamvas, I believe). I love my screen tablet, it would be hard to go back to a regular one now :joy:

I recently bought a Wacom One pen display and I love it!!! I used to have an Intuos tablet. The pen display makes it so much easier to draw tho

I draw mostly on paper, because I like the feel of it more than drawing on a tablet. However, once I finish inking, I scan it and use a tablet to take care of the cleanup and color.

I bought an Wacom Intuos, but It was too finicky and frustrating for me, so I bought a Huion tablet for a fraction of the price, and it performs much better than the overpriced Wacom, which now sits in my closet.

I like to sketch out my thumbnails on paper since I feel like I can organise the panels better and it stops me from adding in detail  Then I just redraw it and flesh out the sketch, ink and add colour using my tablet

I have a Huion HS64. It was like $25 brand new around the holidays and it works pretty well! I've used it with Krita and Medibang, but I recently bought CSP when it was on sale. The tablet works great on it, just takes a bit of getting used to.

I just use waccom intuos BT S Clip Studio Paint EX for my comics. I also draw on sketchbook time to time.
