Do you like to listen something while drawing? (Besides music)

Recently i discovered that listening to youtube videos from other artists really motivate me into drawing more and gives me lot of inspiration too, more than my favorite music! What about you guys?Do you listen to Tv too while drawing? Podcasts? Something else?

I like either watching commentary or gaming videos a lot of the time. usually just stuff that I don't have to constantly look at while drawing

I actually like doing the same, watching long form videos that I've sully seen many times before while working like Linkara, Theme Park History videos like Defunctland and similar stuff, or gaming essays like Super Bunnyhop or MatthewMatosis. I've also recently been binge watching Company Man as well.

Lots of youtube videos, certain tv shows, and I especially loved watching the web show Critical Role while drawing, since most episodes are 4 hours long! I also have a wealth of audio books for future entertainment while drawing, too.

I have found I prefer things that don't require 100% attention, but I can glance over and have something to look at- which is why audio books and music are the bottom of my list for drawing time.

Yeah, his stuff is funny enough to keep mr engaged while working, but not so laughs a minute like other reviewers of his style that I need to focus on him.

Sometimes I'll run the TV/movies as background noise while I'm working; other times I'll listen to a few podcasts...I've gotten away from listening to podcasts lately, so I'm trying to get back to listening to them again.

I used to listen to Meditation/Therapy apps when I was struggling and trying to get better at programming. I might try that with my drawing.

I also listen to critical role! It’s wonderful and they have a huge backlog that I’ve already caught up on XD. I also listen to other artist while drawing but I don’t actually have many channels listed, it’s mostly just drawfee, but they are a wonderful group and they sometimes do eps where they give advice.

Besides that I often listen to movie reviews of movies I’ve already watched. I already know what’s happening so I don’t have to strain all my attention on it and mostly just listen to what they have to say about scenes and plot structures. It’s rare but sometimes I listen to audio books when I can’t find ANYTHING else to listen to.

Like someone else said, I tend to watch movies or TV shows that I've already seen so I dont have to physically watch it and focus on drawing. So lots if Golden Girls and horror movies..

I'm also listening to a lot of stuff while drawing. Mostly letsplays, reviews and stuff with lots of talking. But I'm faster the less attention I have to give. Just while doing the basic sketches and text I need silence or calm music

I listened primarily to music until a year ago where I found some webcomic podcasts, and I found that works much better for me. ATM I'm super into Critical Role and when I caught up on the second campaign I started on the first.

It's really nice since you don't have to be attentive all the time and have small bursts of activity (ofc depends on the individual episode), so I kinda get breaks and then back to work and such

I really like listening to movie reviews on youtube!
The ones I frequent are Angry Joe's movie reviews and Midnight Screenings from Stoned Gremlin Productions.
And since both are just a group of people sitting in a space discussing, I don't have to worry about watching any of it.

Also particularly in the case of Midnight Screenings, they often will point out parts of a movie and explain why they don't work, which I find useful in my own story crafting. Sure there are lots of spoilers, but they're usually for films I wouldn't see anyway.

Ah yes, usually like others, I watch shows I don't have to pay attention. I realised I'm even bored when I try to listen to music while drawing! I need constant talking or else I start doing other things and distract myself...

Also, recentlly - Game Grumps! Compilations on youtube that have 10+ hours are so soothing for me, I probably watched every one of them a few times. They've been my recent obsession, really.

I typically listen to EDM, Epic Orchestral Fantasy Music, Nightcore, and other types of youtube videos that really have a lot of emotional power in the music. It often helps me focus on what I want to accomplish with my webcomic. It's a story that I feel is really worth telling, and I feed off of the energy that really powerful and emotional music gives me when drawing.
