I like it in the moment then i look back at it as if its filth. Im always working to improve tho lol

I enjoy doing it and try not to spend too much time looking over it so I don't go mad. I'm not a pro and I have self-doubt like any person. If I look at everything too critically, I'll suck the enjoyment out of it because it'll never look like it does in my head.

More or less. Being a self-loathing person I think everything about myself and what I create is pure garbage, most of the time compliments feel insincere. I ignore this most of the time cuz I know what my brain says isn't always true, also I don't really care? The act of creating is extremely enjoyable, almost therapeutic, so I do it regardless of quality.

This probably isn't good advise, but who cares if what you create may not be that great? Just learn from mistakes, do your best, and enjoy what you do. Maybe clear your head by going out of a hike or something, get some fresh air, take a sketch pad and doodle some of the stuff you see on the hike.

I think that's pretty good advice! After all, the idea of what "great" is definitely varies through all of us, and definitely changes as we our skills and ourselves. And even if it's not great now, it'll definitely become great later on (whether that's through improvement or through a grown fondness the work).

Taking a break is always a good way to not only rest your mind and body but to also get inspiration from other things!

I feel disappointed in myself every time I finish a comic update. There is a voice nagging in my head telling me “this is not good enough, people won’t like it, it’s boring” It’s a terrible self doubt that I know a lot of people experience. The only thing that still keeping me going is the support and encouragement I get from my readers every time I post an update. You can be really harsh to yourself, and that’s fine, that’s what keeps you improving. But don’t doubt it when someone else tells you your work is fantastic and they love it. Just keeps creating, if you feel burnt out, take a break and come back.

I'm absolutely not satisfied with any of it. I often get really depressed after finishing something because all I can see is flaws that I don't know how to fix. As a result, I guess, I can't take compliments on my work to heart. However, before starting my comic, I was in an artistic rut. Now that I'm putting out a page a week, I can both feel and see myself improving again after stagnating for so long. I look forward to the day when I can finish something and think, "yes, this looks exactly as I intended it to." Each unsatisfactory page I finish is a step toward that.

I feel similarly about other creative things I do: game dev, pixel art, 3D modeling, sculpting. Finish your mediocre projects, learn from them, and eventually create something you can honestly love. That's my goal.

I felt like that a few time a go. I solved this problem doing some fast sketches. I forced me to draw a full scene in a few minutes, something about 10 or 15 minutes. I spent almost a year doing that. At the beginning everything looked bad and trashy, but after 2 or 3 months I was doing everything much easier.

Yeah, that is exactly how I feel. Sometimes I even like the sketch but when I start the lineart or the coloring everything goes down. It is very sad.

That is what I think too, and most of time people look happy with what I do. The problem is only me, but as most people said, it looks like this feeling is a good thing at all. I just have to learn how to make it motivates me.

That`s nice. I was exactly like you at the beginning. I even got many followers at my Instagram account. I really feel like I should keep doing what I do, but there are day that it is very hard.
