Mostly phone, sometimes iPad, sometimes desktop. More desktop now that I'm creating but when I was just reading comics I almost never read on my desktop.

I will read comics on my desktop before I read them on my iPad or phone. I have a larger sized monitor hooked up to my laptop, so reading comics on that is a joy.

100% Desktop.
Only phone I own is a Nokia from 2002, still going strong. I absolutely loathe mobile phones.

I also read comics on desktop. Love being able to see pictures as big as possible, plus I -hate- writing comments on my phone. Between having hands that are apparently too huge for my teeny-tiny phone and auto-correct, I always mess it up badly when I write anything from my phone, so I much prefer to comment from my pc XD

I have the app installed and use it to read/like comics from time to time, but as soon as I have the ability to switch to pc, I do it.

100% desktop
I'm still baffled by how many people use phones as their primary internet browsing device >.<'

Wow! I'm fairly surprised with the amount of people who read on their desktop over here on Tapas. I do wonder if the same applies to LINE Webtoon readers since the most common comment is: "I came as soon as I saw the notifications" :shook_01:

I was phone only, until I learned that Tapas gives the middle finger to creators whose series isn't popular yet, so I started checking out the desktop version in order to help a few creators with a like or two, and a subscription.

Unfortunately, with Tapas 'demanding' that most series must be made with a mobile app in mind, most series are really discomforting to read on a 16:9 monitor which is basically the reverse canvas for what your series is intended for.

So, basically I now subscribe on my desktop version, then check out the comics in my mobile at my leisure.

Wait, webtoon notifies you one a series you're subsrcibed to gets updated O.o? (not getting any notification on their website is the main reason why whenever I find some interesting series then I go and look for it here)

EH~!?!?! most are desktop~? maybe because most of here are creators~? im sure all readers are more into mobile~

Yeah, that's what I got from the poll as well. There's no way the majority of readers would be interested in watching mobile-framed comics on their 16:9 monitors.

Does the app link to the forum anywhere...? This could cause most of app-users not to even be aware of forums existence and simply never coming across this thread...

From what I can tell, there is no link to the forum on the Tapas app. Not to mention that I can't even access the forum from my phone: every time I try to log in, the app opens instead and won't let me do anything at all. So far the only phone browser that let me log in was Firefox Focus, and even then, had to mess with it quite a bit to be able to log in and, since the browser deletes all cookies once you close it, I would have to log in every single time I opened it. Not very feasible at all.

On the matter of reading mobile-framed comics on desktop: I... don't find it to be much of an issue at all? Granted, most of the comics I follow are in page format, but so far the ones I've seen that are made for mobile tend to have images uploaded at maximum size anyway, so it's not like they're blurry on desktop or whatever. Yes, it's a bit annoying because you have to scroll A LOT to get through a single update, but as for everything else, I never found it to be that different from regular comics in page format
