Do you think it's possible that Tapas will renew The eccentric Duchess for season 3?

Guys, we need to talk about one western webcomic that uses otome isekai and the basis of otome games, which always have swear words called The eccentric Duchess. Now I understand season 2 ends on a cliffhanger but as you have seen from the tumblr posts by the author menii herself which is right here

The artist not only takes a one or two month break but she (like us) is not sure if tapas will greenlit season 3 of The eccentric Duchess especially how long will she work on season 3 and even if it's not renewed for season 3 then she will move on to other things , her tapas contract might be expired and things are starting to change in tapas as of now recently, especially that we seen the process on how menii drew the second season which takes many months from January 1st to October 31st 2022 (since the promo was submitted in June 12th 2019 and the 1st season was submitted on September 6th to December 13th 2021) which is so long.

And the reception feels mixed because some people liked it and some people don't like it because the protagonist said too many swear words.

So in this thread, I am going to discuss to the people who read the eccentric Duchess from season 1 and 2 in tapas, do you think it will be renewed for season 3 ?

I haven't read it... but if I were to hazard a guess by giving it a look, I'd advice not getting your hopes up too high. There are two main reasons I think renewal is unlikely:

1. Tapas CEO said in an interview not that long ago that Tapas would be moving away from "Tapas Originals" premium series and instead focusing on "UGC" (User Generated Content), so instead of providing upfront funding new premium series, they're going to watch for series that perform well and boost them up onto the Creator Bonus Program or Early Access Program. They've already cancelled some premium series as part of this change in direction.
2. The performance of this comic, while it'd be really impressive for a non-premium title, would maybe be seen as under-performing for a premium one. 14.8k would be a great amount of subs for most of us non-premium creators to reach, but it's not a very high sub count for a premium series with all of Tapas' promotion behind it at the end of a second season. Tapas might feel that the gratuitous swearing is part of the issues with the performance, or see it as a reason they can't promote it widely.

Best case scenario is it gets renewed for a new season. A plausible scenario is it gets removed as a premium title and changed to an Early Access Program one and continues like that. Worst case scenario is due to rights issues or needing a team it no longer has, it just stops. Fingers crossed for both fans of the series and the creator that it can continue. Comics can be tough, and it'd be a shame to see somebody lose that income and for fans of a series to go unsatisfied.

I checked most of the tapas originals in the site, most of them end up with rushed endings and eternal hiatus leaving them as cliffhangers and some are just translated versions of the ones published by Kakaopage, and yeah it looks like Tapas will no longer focus on their so called premium content originals but on the bright side , Tapas will reward series that perform well by putting them on the Creator Bonus Program or Early Access Program this worked well.
And even if we wish the eccentric duchess will continue on season 3 , it seems according to he tumblr page as you see here https://menii.tumblr.com/ the author of the series menii is on a break for a month or two and is moving on focusing on other works , she is working on a novel during her breaks just for practice.
