Do you think this is a good review idea?

Sooo... I started streaming not so long ago and I had the idea of once I hit affiliate on twitch I'd like to review novels from here. And now I'm just a few followers away from affiliate.... happened faster than I thought. So does this seem like a good idea? Novel review streams? I want to do it to help the community especially those that um official tapas don't do nothing to support. I'm not popular or anything, but I'll make vods of the streams too for youtube and who knows people might like to binge them if ever do become popular.

I play mostly Visual Novels and have done writing streams so this will probably right up my community's alley... I'm @vassisappho on twitch if anyone wants to check me out.

Does this sound like a good idea?

Just want to say this now before people start posting their links here. I'm not looking for recommendations yet. If I purge forward with this idea I'll make another post asking for recs. I want make some review criteria first, so if you have advice on that too comment away please.

i think that could be fun, but i dont watch streams much in general so idk how popular it would be - that said, reviews of popular media (or unpopular media lol) on youtube seems to do well! and i think people would appreciate that - as long as the reviews arent super negative, haha, i think youd have to be careful with what you say, especially since these are all indie stories and not big giants. dont want to accidentally punch down, ig?

but even if it wouldnt be super popular - if its something you'd enjoy doing, i'd say go for it!

You just going to do novels or comics as well?
Either way sounds like a good idea to me. People like watching review stuff from what I can tell.

Thanks I'll probably only be taking volunteers for it. I don't want shock anyone by doing a surprise review I definitely wouldn't like that for my baby novels

makes sense! def a good idea i think to do it via volunteers - and im sure plenty of ppl would be happy to suggest their novel (or comic, if you'd be doing both aha)

I might do comics down the line, but for now I'm a little scared for the twitch and youtube moderators. Even if I get permission from the creators I might get a strike for just showing too many images you know... I think I'll have to learn a little more before diving into that

That's a great idea! I've been seeking good webcomic reviewers, and the field is very sparse. Since quality is so variable and difficult to judge, especially for novels, a reviewer would be extremely helpful!

Thanks that's what I was thinking too. Want to help out novelist cause it's already so hard to advertise without a consistent visual pull
