So outside of commissions and shop stuff, as well as crowdfunding for goals, I started a habit last year to try and provide monthly updates to keep supporters and other interested folks up to date on how things were running on ko-fi, what plans i had, what projects i was working on and what goals were currently active at a given time

I managed to stay mostly consistent with that, having new updates pretty much every month save for September and October, which ran into each other do to me being busy with my retail job. This new year things got rocky again with new work adjustments post job change as well as just general life stuff but I'm hoping to get back into a consistent flow again

That said I'm kinda curious if any other folks on Ko-fi put to use the blog post function and if so how do they use it?

lol I kinda forgot to share but all of em are piled together here

I'm planning on adding posts about project updates in the (hopefully) near future but it's something that I've really come to enjoy putting together

I should, shouldn't I. I have a hard enough time being present on Instagram, Kofi is like another beast to me.

It's definitely a bit easier to maintain for me than all the required consistent posting most regular social media demands so I can compile all the info i need to share and have it all in one place then mirror to other sites (usually just twitter) with the same thumbnail image for that months post, a link, and a tl;dr for folks who're less likely to click through (tho i usually wait a day or two before tacking it onto a thread)

I also just like it coz I feel like I can be transparent with supporters with what's going on and how their help is impacting things (still kind of want to do something proper like badges or icons or something) but I figure if i happen to add supporter tiers in thee future like I've been considering then they'll already have an idea what they'll be getting into

i guess the most accurate way i can think to describe my method is something like those monthly newsletters just without the fuss of keeping up with emails

I have made blog posts 1 or 2 times. I am consistent enough to post monthly update on Tapas but I feel like there should be more stuff I should be posting to Ko-fi, not just updates. And then on the other hand, I would prefer Ko-fi to not just br a place for my comic, but for other stuff too. Honestly, I just don't have enough brain space for these things.

I didn't even know it had a blog function XD I just post some artwork there sometimes.
