Do you work alone on your webcomic?

Another loner here. I don't mind doing everything alone, since I actually enjoy the whole process, from writing to colouring. It's only the online process that I really find bothersome. Webpages and promoting and all that is simply really tiring for me, which is why I usually keep a very low profile online.

I do think that sometimes it would be nice to have someone who would give me honest feedback and tell me if something is confusing or simply doesn't work. Especially during the process and not when a page is already finished. In my opinion having someone to bounce ideas with is the best part of working with a team. On the other hand working alone can be quite rewarding, since you can look at the end result and know that it was all done by you.

i usually work entirely on my own but i do turn to my friends for critique and storyboarding concepts. not that they give me a whole bunch of ideas but they help me mold the good ideas i have and tell me when i should scrap something other than that i do mostly all my own work. i have one children book where i collaborated with a writer that was a lot of fun don't usually find to many people to sync with so beautifully on a project

Yep, all by myselfff. It can get really tiring and sometimes I have to force time out of my schedule to keep the comic up to date. Mostly because I'm a full time student, plus I work part time job :/ my friends do offer to help with artwork but I have a weird thing that I only want to work on thing by myself, following my own schedule and in the end can proudly said YES I have done all of this on my own!

Yeh I draw and write for both of my comics.
I'd appreciate any help writing and maybe flat coloring but I don't really have many friends that are willing to do that.

One day I hope to achieve the "Bakuman Duo" dream where I'm the artist and a friend of mine is the writer.

You are absolutely right, it is tiring, time consuming, but if this is something you are passionate about keep at it and best of luck!

I work alone as well as many others. I've had my fair share of commissioned stories where I was the artist and someone else was writing. It was fun, but I kinda had enough of following small revisions and changes. Also, this story is so personal I cannot give it to anyone else

I work alone. Originally, it didn't start that way. I was the one who pitched the idea and the person who helped me actually wrote chapters. I'm not a person who hates working with others but I have had people pitch ideas and wanted me to write and draw it. ;^; Though, having someone to discuss/draw/write comics with would be nice.

Yeah, I also work alone. Been running my comic weekly since March 1st 2014, and I kinda think working alone has been the key to remaining consistent with work and uploads.. The more people, the more chance someone might let you down, and to me I can't bare that thought lol.
It's interesting to read here of so many others working on their own too. Many of whom I know an loves.

I would work alone because I have issues and I can't handle not having full creative control. Having a co-writer would help since writing isn't my strongest department but I'd be too picky and selfish. Just being fully honest.

I work 100% alone. I used to have a group I'd at least share the pages with beforehand back when I'd just post pages on my personal website, but I'm not part of that group anymore, so no one even sees the pages until they're public now. An editor would be nice, but I'm pretty content keeping everything else my own. If I ever make enough money from my day job I might hire someone to edit, but who knows.

I do love doing collaborations, though. It'd just have to be a pretty short comic for me to be able to do it and to deliver to the end.

Ahaha I do all the drawing/writing/research myself! I wouldn't mind collaborating in the future, especially collaborating with a writer, but for now i'd really rather work on the projects that I'm personally invested in. I do have a couple of people who I discuss plot/writing/characterization stuff with just to see what works out or not. It really helps just to have people you can trust with your spoilers!

I'm solo. Do all the chores myself in order to get my book done.

I really wouldn't have it any other way, but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't get a bit lonely sometimes.

Yup, I do everything by myself from script to pages. I do ask for help from time to time from a friend of mine for lettering and how she feels about some characters but that's about it.

Hello! First post! Anyway. I had letterers/colorists/writers on some of the published stuff I did -- it was nice, but I realize I'm at my happiest when I'm doing everything. A lot of what I like about comics is pacing, and that's hard to control unless you're doing every job. I like having full control to screw up or succeed on my own merits.
