They don't read mine and I actually like it. Because if they did, I wouldn't know if they're doing because they just wanted to please me or because they really appreciate it.
Years ago I printed few issues of an independent comic book to sell at a convention. Before the convention, my father asked for one issue. Of course I gave it to him and I'm quite sure he never read it, because he never talked to me about it. And if he had read, he would have come to me to say he liked it, even if he didn't. And my father likes comic books and all. So he showed up at the convention and asked to purchase an issue. And I was like... "What for? I already gave you one." and he... "Oh, I want to help you!" Dude, this killed me!
So I don't need this kind of response.
The only people close to me that follow my work for real are my wife plus a couple of friends and I enjoy it because they tell me the truth, share their opinions, tell me when something's not good etc.
