Does anyone get bothered by "name of artist" shared a post with subscribers

I used it before but i noticed when someone else uses it ,after some time it becomes a bit annoying so i stopped using that option of notifying my subs bcs i cant be the only one who gets bothered by it? right?
i mean no disrespect to anyone im subbed to but it feels weird when someone makes 10 posts and the 11th is the actual comic.
i understand if its about someone streaming and wants to notify people to watch him (thats okay in my opinion)
but when someone just does it for random stuff like asking"hows everyone doing today" or "hope you are all having fun "
or "hey tommorow im going to post my comic be sure to check it out"(we will be notified tomorrow that your comic is going to be posted ,there is absolutley no reason you have to notify me the day before when Tapastic will do that automatically right after you post the comic)
Im not trying to mock anyone , i unsubbed from 3 artists in 2 months just bcs each time i go to check my notification i think to my self "did someone subb to me..did someone like my content ....or has someone posted a new comic " instead i have 6 notifications
1 is from Tapastic telling me they made some changes
5 are from random artists sharing a post with subs.
and some of them even share posts 2 3 times a day.

I mean i know that that option was made just for that use only
but wouldnt it be better to make a section for those kind of posts.(like the facebook system)
you go to facebook and you click (Home) and there you can see ALL the posts from every single person you subbed to being updated non stop
Rather then popping notifications one by one .
or at least give the option of removing those kinds of notifications if its easier.

I have a little bit of an issue with the fact that it's put with my comic notifications, like i'll get the little red 1 notification and think it's someone liking/commenting/subscribing and its something else :/

I wish honestly they would redesign the notification bar. I hate having the clean out all those subscriber shared posts, site updates, etc. I only share a subscriber post if it's really necessary. Most people just do it willy nilly every single 5 seconds.

yesssssss. im pretty much the same as you guys. i get all excited thinkin someone like or subbed and then it just ends up being random shares from other people. i dont even read them anymore
but i agree with @indagold i think they should put those in another tab or make them unsubscribable or somethin

Yeah, I'm basically in the same boat as everyone else. Get about 20 notifications a day, and 98% of the time they're people sharing posts, half the time the posts they share are ridiculous and have nothing to do with their comics. I followed one for a while who shared posts 5 or more times a day, and turned their wall into a tumblr blog basically. When I first started posting my comic seeing the notifications box being filled with only people sharing posts, it was a bit of a disappointment. I even sent the Tapastic staff a suggestion to have the option to turn them off once, and they basically responded with a "Oh sorry, that isn't very important to us. ¯_(ツ)_/¯", but they did be sure to let me know that I could turn off email notifications. Wasn't surprised since it seems their main goal is ultimate reader experience, rather than creator convince, that is where all the money comes from after all.

I'd love it if they designed the page so that posts on profiles had an extra drop-down - that way, it would be sorted out from the comic notifications, but still let creators stay in touch with their readers. (I've personally only ever used the profile thing if the next page will be late or if I wanted to announce something)

i don't think it's all that terrible until you're subscribed to a LOT of comics that are rather popular and actively updating
i'm glad there is a way to sort out those from comic updates and comics in the notification thing though.. (go to "SEE ALL NOTIFICATIONS" and you'll know what i mean)
it is a bit irritating however.. but i can't exactly see how anything can be done to improve it.. other than an extra drop-down..
but that in itself could become rather problematic..
i tend to ignore most of the "creator wall post" notifications anyhow..

I don't mind that, because it's a one time thing... UNLESS YOU COMMENT! Oh good lord jesus crust! I am STILL getting notifications MONTHS after I commented on someone's comic. I NEED THAT TO STOP! And what makes it worse is that it's a bunch of comments from a bunch of (I'm assuming) younger people who think they're funny... they are not. I wish there was a way to disable those notifications!

I don't mind if it's from creators that I know who uses it to notify about the comics i'm subscribed to. What bothers me is some creators who use it like twitter. Like what does "Went to the gym today" have something to do with the comic I follow. Or notifying that you uploaded a new page when it's already indicated in the updated comics notification.

i just think if the majority of the people are bothered by the system something should be done.
when you think about it theres someone who will use it for normal things
and then there is someone who will just abuse it .
makes no sense to keep it and the people who post stuff there daily arent even aware they might be losing subs bcs of it , in a way that is for their own good

Star a forum thread talking about that.. Make as many people as possible aware of how Tapastic works- and how to tell when you are using or abusing the wall post thing.. (I have literally no idea what to call it beside "wall post thing")
I'm sure a good majority of the people who see it and abuse the use of the wall post thing will stop spamming their subscriber's notifications as much once they read such a post..
I think Tapastic should also have a tutorial-note-thing for how wall posts affect subscribers once people have created an account or start their first story on Tapastic

thats a good thought
but i can bet that maybe 30 % of tapastic artists use the forums often.the rest just visit it every couple of months
also we dont know if tapastic even has the money for that kind of a change..
i only know HTML and CSS and honestly i can tell you that is a piece of cake compared to what they would have to do and use in order to make this "wall post thing " change . coding isnt easy and if tapstic owners arent programmers that means they have to pay and plan it out which could sometimes take months ...for now this is just a couple of us venting : P

yeah. that is true. and i know that coding, programming, and implementing things isnt easy work. I've seen bits and pieces of what Yandere Dev has had to do to further the development of Yandere Simulator- and what problems can come up by fixing just one thing
I dont know the exact struggle with coding, programming, and implementing things, but i do have an idea of how stressful, costly, and time-consuming it can be
for now, its just venting and suggestions.. but later, it may be a separate post and planning out solutions

It's not a staff post, just a user-made thread that got pinned by a staff or a mod.

The problem is that people have different definitions for what constitutes wall post "abuse." Some people think it's nice to say hi to their readers on their walls, while others (like me) WOULD VERY MUCH RATHER BE LEFT ALONE!!!
