Does anyone have any advice on how to gain subscribers on tapas?

Heya! I'm a fairly new creator on tapas (I joined in November, but had been lurking much longer) I just uploaded the last page of my comic's prologue, but I don't have any subscribers. Does anyone have advice on how to get subscibers? Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you.

use socials to promote, promote on the forums, consistency and patience. also try posting elsewhere like on webtoons. sometimes you're just not going to get subs or as many subs as others if the art/story doesn't connect. its super duper hard to actually get noticed on any platform and there are no easy tricks that will suddenly get you tons. we all just have to try our best and pray for some luck

Thanks for the advice! Could you explain what you mean by "if the art/story doesn't match"? I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that. I'll look into webtoon thought, thanks!

"the art/story doesn't connect" is what i wrote. I mean that people are not interested in the story for whatever reason. could be that the story is just very niche and naturally fewer people will be interested or could be the story isn't told well.

I'm new here myself so I'm just learning as you. But one thing I know is you need to be consistent and present in the community. Comment on other people's stories, participate in forums, maybe do social media if that's your jam. The more people see your name (and know that you're being an authentic community member), the more chances they'll check your profile and your story.
