Does anyones art style match their handwriting?

this may seem extremely abstract but its about 3 am so hear me out

i was just thinking about this for a hot second? like, drawing and writing logically sound like they would go hand in hand right? they both involve lines and pencils and hands

think about it for a second,,, like the way u write and then how u draw things

for example, my hand is not the steadiest so if im not watching myself, my handwriting looks like some inexcusable chicken scratch that even i cannot read sometimes, this is especially a travesty when my pencil isnt the sharpest.

my art looks? kind of similar i think, especially the doodles, im like, incapable of making continuous lines, i just sketch and sketch and it looks messy, but generally if im putting in effort it looks like, really nice....

i wish i had some examples but this is still kind of abstract and also i dont have anything on hand.

but anyway!!! come comment on my theory

id say theyre pretty similar, they both have like,, thick lines and its kinda like? loose and swoopy? hmmm, if i get anymore evidence, i could write up a case study lol

not at all XD my drawing is bad enough as it is, but my handwriting is absolutely horrifying X_X
actually, I have a whole separate set of handwritings if I have to write something as a part of a drawing or something like that, that actually look like pretty decent handwritings and not musch at all like my normal handwriting O_O

I'd say so? lots of people have told me my art is very fluid/has lots of curves, and so does my normal handwriting.

Definitely. My handwriting is very "scritchety"; like my layout/sketch style.

For me they are quite the opposite I'd say.
Insufferably ugly handwriting but smoother drawings.

I don't like the tiny movements when writing, especially when writing with time pressure. It's so uncomfortable... X'3
With writing I don't think much about the letter's shapes too. I just want to jot down the meaning.
Drawing on the other hand as steadier and more conscious movements.

It's hard to say. I usually write in neat capital letters because I want people to be able to read what I'm writing without straining. One of my exes used to complain about it actually because she thought my notes seemed like I was mad because of my "boyish" handwriting. But I also had classmates who would say they thought my handwriting was very cute.

I know my art has a cute, soft feel to it, so if my handwriting is cute then they match. I would say they're both clear and straightforward.

hahaha.... nooo. Jesus if it did my work would look like it was done by a 5 year old. Though I always struggled with linework, I kinda accepted that's something I can't improve on much like my handwriting.

Haha nooope!

I always kinda envied the kids with the neat cute handwriting... mine's not chicken scratch, but it's not very consistent. I think because I practiced a lot of cursive, it caused my handwriting to have a lot of hooks and sometimes I combine letters together. So it's this weird print-cursive hybrid.

Thankfully it's not as bad at my mom's, who I think has invented her own alphabet. I'm one of the only people who can decipher her writing. :I Too bad I can't put that down as a second language.

My handwritting is unreadable hahaha, thick lines with stabs like an assassin, my sketching is quite similar too, I just do messy lines until I get what I want, then proceed to drawk thick lines. I write and draw very fast, if I'm not in digital.

Well, not really, I draw better than I write. Though I'll say this - If I don't write at a snail's pace my handwriting looks terrible, and it's the same thing with my drawing. XD Though even if I slow down my handwriting still looks juvenile.

Oh god this makes a whole lotta sense! Its why some comics, when artists handwrite the words it looks...right!

I dont know about mine though, Life Out Loud has always had my handwriting. But my handwriting on the tablet is different then when I write with a pen and pencil.

But I def agree that my handwriting either way just goes with my comic

Hahahahahahahahaha. No. My sister once said my hand writing hasn't changed since elementary school. Can't really tell any dramas with that. XD
