Clickbait exists because someone pays others to drive visitors to a specific site.

Clickbait does not pay out for loyal customer or fans.

It is OK to be funny. It is OK to be relevant and use memes.

But the 'Made You Look' joke wears out.

@thedude3445 Yeah, I see a lot of clickbait thumbnails on YouTube. Even for well made videos like you mentioned. It's kinda strange.

The first two people the come to mind is Casey Niestat and MrBeast, both have clickbait-y titles and thumbnails, but their videos follow through on the clickbait.

I think Casey Niestat even talks about this, but I can't find the video right now

It really depends. Is it truly clickbait as in, the thumbnail is ice cream but the video is about baseball? Something really outrageous and obvious like that? Then yeah, I probably would unsub!

If the thumbnail is just a little exaggerated or only emphasizes one part of the video, that wouldn't be enough for me to unfollow if the video was good.

Er, I'm referencing videos here since video clickbait is what I'm most familiar with, but in terms of comics, if the cover or chapter previews for a comic are like, a completely different style or the quality is really different from the actual story, I bounce almost immediately. The same goes for games.
