This might not be the best forum to find someone for visual novels in specific, so here's some links just in case you need them: https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/ https://itch.io/board/10020/help-wanted-or-offered

There's a lot of good advice in this thread already! I will second the idea of, having a strong pitch, and paying your artist. Having a contract will help too, of course. I think it's also important that you work hard on certain aspects so your artist doesn't have to: that is, interacting with rea…

I've often worked on at least 2 comics at once (right now, I work on 2 side by side with 2 visual novels and an audio project, glkdfhg it's a lot) BUT I do art full time so I don't think I'm always a great example of getting multiple projects done. I get my projects done, I just also have a shit ton…

What's helped me a lot is: making sure my scripts are in order, making sure my thumbnails are in order, not skimping out on doing sketch pages, AND, not zooming in too much with digital art. (This is a huge one in terms of time...) Really, just organization and strategies to keep art fast and fun. …

I think def ask your readers, first and foremost, but doing about 4 sounds good because then you could release 1 once a week until October ends or something like that? Gives folks time to read up. That's just what I think off the top of my head tho!

Doesn't apply to my series because I quite like human+non-human pairings, but as usual, I am here to promote other people's comics.

Here's a list of comics I know here on Tapas with bigger folks in them. Enjoy!

My game, One-Eyed Lee and the Dinner Party has a main character I think fits this! [image]

Woo-hoo~ I have multiple~ I also make visual novels! https://darkchibishadow.itch.io/

I've got lots of finished comics/games under my belt, so I fully plan on finishing my comic, Solanaceae. It's almost 1/2 of the way done, actually!

Be aware that some sponsorships are scams, even if they look good. You should be REALLY careful about who you accept working with, and you should check to see what other creators have worked with them, and maybe talk to those folks first. Good luck!

Ohh okay, yes, a bully is definitely an "opponent" then, yes! If the story is still focused on day to day stuff, trying to deal with said bully in a realistic way, then I think it's still slice of life! Once things become too action-y or rivalry focused, I think then it starts to lose some of that g…

Grayscale can look awesome and it can allow you to make more updates! And more updates is usually always preferred by folks.

1) A character who I can relate to helps-- but mostly I want it to be a character who has positives and negatives. Ideally, a slice of life is extremely personal and therefore we get to see and maybe hear a lot of the protagonist's real feelings and it feels more relatable and realistic if not all o…

Hm, I don't think I understand what you mean by "fantasy based"? Is your boyfriend fictional, maybe? Or are you saying any fantasy could sweep you away? :open_mouth: Also, that's fine to want to get the game out-- but the game is out now! So, that's the perfect time to work on the presentation of the page. ^u…

Folks used to do the 30 day Monster Girl Challenge! It fits for Halloween!

I am so curious as to what you mean here... d-does a genre really have that much power over your relationship? Also, the art for your visual novels looks very cool! But, I think your pages are lacking screenshots and the text for your game looks almost unreadable from the one screenshot that's the…

YES! A thread for me, hehe. Here's my Itchio in general: https://darkchibishadow.itch.io/ And here's some of my current favorite visual novels I've made (I have more than this so consider checking out my archive!!) and as a heads-up, basically all of my titles are 18+ ONLY! (Tomai is also a…

No problem and good luck!

In my experience, it's almost never fruitful to go back and redraw the first few episodes this early in. You should be focusing on continuing your story, more so than anything and once you complete the comic, maybe then consider going back and making edits. Part of the appeal of webcomics is not o…

My comic is 18+ but heavily censored for Tapas! Love this thread!

I will not be going to any indoor Haunted Houses for uhh, a while. I may visit a corn maze because it's outside and pretty easy to pick a day to avoid people, but otherwise, I won't even have trick-or-treaters again this year. It's just not safe, and folks have been acting wild. I'm fully vaccinated…

Heyo! All I do is sketch commissions, and they are automatically full body so I think they are suited for pin-ups! Here's my info: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11QRqt7z2NBEp3Te2s7beTeygj7aDFzZiGl-6PFa34KQ/edit?usp=sharing Thanks and good luck!

Heyo! Here's my Queer comic! Solanaceae has gay and bi main characters, one of which is aromatic and a demiboy. (Another character later comes out as genderfluid but that's not in this part of the story.) Space School has a gay main character and a demisexual love interest. It generally deals…

This is not necessarily true? For Comixology, yes, someone does review your work (trust me though, it's a low bar) but where did you hear that it was hard to get on to Google Play Books? You can upload your PDF and be on the app THAT day. I do it all the time. Also, I think even serialized work…

Surprised you didn't mention Comicfury, Itchio, Google Play Books, OR Comixology! They're all free to use, and the majority of these let you monetize your work as well as having big built-in audiences to work from. (Er, except for Comicfury, but it has other strengths.)

Oh, thanks! I wasn't looking for a sub but I appreciate it. Hope you like the comic!

Honestly, therapy is really helpful. It has helped me more than anything else, and has helped all of my friends more than anything else too. (Aside from just, medication, money, and stability.) If you don't have insurance, most doctor's office have a "student" counselor or therapist who is fresh o…

I actually get custom songs made for my characters! (Mostly because I also make visual novels with them, but also because it's super fun.) Here's the song for my main character, Battam: Getting a custom song for your character is actually uh, way more affordable than you'd think it'd be. A…

Can I just share my kinda spooky video game instead?
