Does my comic need the mature tag?

So before I finalize my first chapter post, I wanted to get some feedback...

So for the most part, I feel like my comic is suitable for all ages to read, even though the target audience is young adults mostly. There is only one portion of it that I feel might not be, but given what it is, I feel like the line for it is so blurred that maybe I can pass it off as safe enough for younger eyes. I really don't want to have to tag my WHOLE comic as mature, when scenes like this will only happen in maybe...4 pages out of the several hundred that will make up the entirety of the comic. As far as I know, a comic tagged as mature won't show up in search results or be able to get shown on front pages of certain websites (Tapas might be one of them but I'm not sure).

Outside of scenes like this, there is no sex, no swearing, and the fight scenes and violence at most will have blood, but nothing extremely gross or gorey, and the fights happen only rarely. The absolute WORSE it will get, is what you see below.

Open wounds with lots of blood and exposed injuries. But really in future parts I will still do my best to censor the obvious gross bits. This is probably the farthest I'll go, and since there's no hanging entrails or guts, I figured it's safe enough...but what do you all think? Can this pass off as not needing the filter? If it needs it, will my comic get less exposure because 4 pages are not safe for kiddies and thus it can't be promoted?

I'd say, yeah, you should probably add a mature warning tab to e safe

AFAIK on Tapas, you can't even tag an entire series as mature -- only individual episodes. So you can only mark that page as NSFW.

Ohhh okay I see what you all mean now. I didn't realize that the mature tag sticks only for that episode.

Thing is, I want the entire Prologue packaged in one Episode, and since that page sits within it's mists, I suppose that means the whole Prologue episode will be marked as such. Will that hurt it's chances at getting featured anywhere else on the site? Some places made it clear that if it's mature, it wont' show up publicly anywhere.

Not that it matters I guess. It seems I'm stuck with the tag regardless to be safe, at least for the Prologue. I'd rather the whole thing be in one episode than separate pages.

Put a mature tag only to the chapters with explicit content like graphic violence, drugs or sex.

If you have any doubts about what counts as mature content, when making/editing a page you can see this image in the bottom. In the part that says "more details" you can find exactly what counts as mature.

Also, you can edit a page if you want to remove the mature warning.

Frankly, given the entire nature of my comic, I'd love an over-arching "Mature" tag for it. Whether a page I'm working on has mature content or not, I flag it Mature just on principle. :\ But yeah. Explicit gore is generally a "Mature" tag, you wouldn't show a child that.
