My personal take is if its enough to qualify what I traditionally refer to as the "action/adventure" category is probably enough.
They are very vague about it, but I generally think of it in terms of audience. What are people looking for when they go to the 'action fantasy' category? You've got TBATE and Solo Leveling; dungeon and tower settings, wuxia/martial arts, LitRPGs, and Isekai, but there are some subtler things there, too, that don't start with the action but since its in the 'action fantasy' tab, I expect there to be at least /some/ in there. If I don't get a good amount of action when I'm looking for action fantasy, I'll probably drop it. If I wanted to read a regular fantasy, I would have gone to the fantasy tab. ./shrugs.
An important thing to note I think is the writing style. When I think of action action fantasy, I think of it leaner and faster paced prose than something like a fantasy adventure--esp. a high fantasy audience where people usually expect denser, more detailed prose. My ADHD looooves action fantasy since I can read them without worrying about my attention span XD.
As for the extended descriptions of fighting, this will vary from author to author. Some of the best action writers focus on the thoughts or emotions of the fight rather than the literal combat, because @SwordSong you're right, there are some things writing just doesn't do well, visuals being a major one.
I'm just one person, though, so XD.
