I'm considering submitting to WEBTOON's "Call to Action" contest.
The top 3 series in the contest will become WEBTOON Originals, and the rest will not.

I've never entered a WEBTOON contest before, so my question is, if I do submit a series to this contest, do they own exclusive rights to publish it even if it doesn't become an Original?

Unless I happen to win the contest, I would like to continue the series and post it on other platforms. Will WEBTOON still allow me to do that after it becomes a contest entry?

Here's the relevant section:

So yes, you keep the rights.

I recommend always reading through ALL the terms and conditions before entering competitions like this, especially when this one has sneaky small print saying you don't get the prize money if you don't agree to taking on a contract to make a Webtoon Original (basically a full-time job based on typical expected panel count for those series).
