Hell yes it does! 
My comic takes place in a parallel universe to our own, on a planet that nearly mirrors our own. But the biggest exception is that while all of the same species exist there as they do on Earth, they don't all look or act the same. An Earth stoat, for example, is a tiny and adorable weasel-like creature. But a Kéhuégonéan stoat is a horrifying, blood-thirsty beast that looks like a cross between a kangaroo and a shark.🦘

But the most notable species difference come in the form of Kéhuégonéa's more....intelligent life. Some mammals, like cats and dogs, have evolved to walk upright and have an intelligence equated to that of humans, turning them into actual civilized races. The Ipsum (elves native to the planet) refer to them as the "bipedals". Bipedal Kéhuégonéans have paw-like hands and feet which they usually cover to visually separate them from the "uncivilized" animals. They also have black sclerae and white pupils. Something interesting about them is that they can hybridize with any other bipedal regardless of species. So you may have cat-wolf hybrids, or fox-raccoon hybrids. The babies are quadruped and have giant adorable puppy eyes.
As a bonus, have some babies
