Does your pen slip when you are drawing digitally?

I use a xpen22e, I got used to it and it works fine when I draw with my wrist and I can handle
the pen slipping. I´m currently learning to draw from the shoulder and it doesn´t work at all
because there is just zero restistance like you would have on paper, I´m practicing this a lot
and the pen slippery is just too big. Here is my question for people who own a wacom cintiq.
Is the slippery better on the cintiq? Xpen does not have foils with other surfaces and also no
special pens

i don't use any screen tablet but i think one possible quick fix depending on whether there's buttons on the pen and where they're placed is one of those pencil covers. i used to use them for one of my older pen tablets and it worked fairly well

of course no solution is one size fits all so hopefully someone else may have input as well

I haven't used an xpen22e, but I have a few cintiqs, and their screen texture is alright, just enough grip to where my pen doesn't feel out of control, and not so much that it wears down my nib too fast.
When I first got my iPad the shiny glass screen was unbearably slick, it felt like trying to walk on a field of banana peels on ice. But after I got a paperlike screen protector for it, I love the new texture. The cintiqs aren't as toothy as that, or as grippy as real paper, but they're not nearly as slick as the vanilla ipad.

For the Cintiq, it really depends on what nibs you use in the pen. I find the plastic nibs to be scratchy and slippery, so I always use the felt nibs. The felt nibs have a good drawing feel in my opinion.

I go out of my way to wear down the rough stuff on my waccom so it's as slippery as possible actually. I think because I learned how to draw on a tablet with a really cheapo thing and now I prefer it.

As for slip, my pen has a rubber-like grip to the handle. I know you can buy those for pencils, maybe it'd fit on your xpen?

Also, they do sell removeable screen covers that are rough, so you can put them on your tablet screens. In case you just hate the slippery, (which I understand, everyone's touch is different for a tablet)

Thanks for the answers, unfortunately xpen doesn´t have the screen covers with texture and there is only one kind of nib.
The slippery is really bad, it´s impossible to draw from the shoulder, I should have kept my intuos

I always use the grey "felt" nibs for my wacom. They have a lot more friction than the black ones, so it feels closer to paper. They do wear out a little faster, but it works okay for me because I don't press super hard, so nibs last me a while.

Actually when I first started making digital art, I literally used to tape paper to my tablet for the same effect! It's part of why I've never really warmed to screen tablets. I have a special textured screen protector on my iPad to help me draw on there, but I prefer to use my wacom with the rough nibs.

My old Wacom Intuos had a paper like surface, which would cause me to wear out a numerous amount of nibs... I put a protective slicker surface on it; my drawing [mechanics] was the same but it wore out less nibs.

I bought a 22" Huion Kamvas screened tablet last year and it comes with a natural paper like surface screen; I haven't been going hard on it as how I'm on a hiatus right now, but there's no slippage...I also wear the protective glove so that I dont inadvertently shift the drawing around or anything else.

My iPad however, I did have slip issues. I bought a paper like screen protector for it...it feels a little rougher than the one on my Huion, but my stylus doesnt slip anymore.
