Does your story have any holiday lore? Glassflower has a holiday called White Garden, where they harvest snow to use as water supply, have a ball at the end, and give gifts. Very similar to Christmas, but with its own twists and stuff

Oh yes. In my story, some people celebrate Christmas, some celebrate Hannukah, some celebrate Kwanzaa, some people don't celebrate at all...

For "Of Lowlifes, Lutes, & Liars" there are tons of holidays. One of the largest is a harvest festival that's a three-day carnival-type event called the Feast of Merkander. It's kind of like a combination of Halloween and Thanksgiving, and there's jousting! Arena games, fancy hats, fried dough, costume balls, meat on sticks -- The Feast of Merkander has it all!

The festival takes place during the height of the harvest, when the people of Old Sarzonn and elsewhere take stock of the year's bounty, give thanks for another successful year, and celebrate the richness of their lives. "Lowlifes" takes place about a month before the festival, and events conspire to threaten the beloved tradition...

Not my main ones, (at least not that I've written yet, but tbh, they probably do in the world of "Crystal Blue")

But I recently wrote a short story about a winter holiday for fairies. It's submitted to a competition so I'll see how that goes lol

My human cast celebrates Christmas like normal people do. But the chickens' Christmas is technically on Epiphany, the arrival of the three wise men to greet Baby Jesus, though I changed this a bit to represent the "Mother Hen's creation" of the chickens. The chickens gather together and open the corn/feed stored up through the year and have a day of feasting and merriment. Friar's more excited about celebrating it than the others, given he's the most religious chicken in the flock, lol. They stole the Christmas lights from the humans and decorated the coop XD I picked Jan 6th as the main holiday cause it was a year after I first published, so I had to make a huge anniversary episode. Honestly, it also gave me an excuse to introduce three owl characters and explore riddles last year as well.

Now this year, I'm combining some of the Nativity Story with bits of the Christmas Carol as my holiday ep, though it won't release until after Christmas. Gonna be nice to see the hooters return. (I'll post the link to the ep here once I finish it...And it will be much shorter...)

My main character celebrates Halloween by leaving offerings of homemade baked goods out for the fae and wandering spirits. Haven't decided if Christmas traditions will differ from the usual for her.
