Alright I've seen this so much and it's, "like wow are you serious"?
Don't just make up arch names just because they sound cool then when asked what it will be about you'll response will be, " I don't know yet".
Second: Pacing, my god a lot of pacing is either far too slow or in your face, it is hard to have good pacing I understand that ( took me years of learning.)
Third: Don't be afraid to draw attention away from your main protagonist, for me I love hearing out other character even if they aren't friends of the protagonist. Too many people have told me they are afraid of confusing people if they draw away from the main story. That is why you have A plots, B plots, and C plots. One issue is solved now lets see how the other one is doing.
Fourth: Characters deign can say a lot about how a character is, sure something "can just look cool", but the character can tell a story just by looking at them.
Examples are: Jotaro Kujo from Jojo stardust crusaders, from just looking at him I can tell he's wearing a Jotaro Kujo uniform, but he has a chain hanging from it and styles it differently. He's a punk but he also is a neat person.
Almight from My Hero Academia, he dresses in a American superhero look despite not being one, even in his casual clothes he wears a Texas like belt buckle. He takes huge inspiration from America and it shows without even knowing his story.
Last: Just because it was done already, doesn't mean you can't do it. Stop thinking that, think about how many times a superman styled character was made, Metroman, Homelander ,Omniman.
Think about how many teenaged superheros there are, Deku,Spiderman, Danny Phantom.
It can be done but add enough of your own spice, think to yourself, what can I do that I would like. Because as a storyteller I don't think, "what will people like", I think "what do I like, what would I like to read/see", because I can assure you at the very least 100 people will like the same.
These can apply to both artist and writers, now go out there and create.
Love you all, beautiful humans.
