that looks pretty cool I think the first time I had drown a person was when I was in elementary it was drawing people in the form of Minecraft style and drawing a person out of the word Boy...

Sometimes whenever I try to draw a character I use reference from other work (whether from models or not), I don't do the tracing, but I look close on how they curve the characters.

It´s a good plan to draw every day.
Here is some advice.
Make a plan like this:
Monday
10x 30 seconds gesture drawing 30 seconds
facial features: eyes
body: head
pose: standing

Tuesday
10x30 seconds gesture drawing 30 seconds
facial feature: nose
body: collar bones, neck
pose: sitting

and so on. It helps a lot to have a plan and you will improve fast

It's not finished but I think this is it for today. I don't want to push myself too much and burn out. I drew this after studying eyes for a bit by the way.

Day 3:
I added some more to the drawing of day 2. Not satisfied with it still.

Fixed the lips and the eye on the right(her left eye) some and added some more details.

Hey! Great idea - I think drawing every day is the #1 way to get better at it and you're on a roll .

Something that's worked for me that might help if you're looking to improve quickly is to zoom the heck out and forget about details for now so you can iterate quickly, learn forms, and start to see your own patterns emerging. That said whatever you find fun that keeps you coming back to drawing is obviously the most important .

Day 5:

Tried the Reilly method to draw a head.

Still Day 5:

Tried drawing without using the method. At least I think I know how big to make the eyes now.

Added a body to the girl above.

Tried to use the pencil softly(?)

The smaller faces look better than the faces you draw when you use the whole page.
I love when someone gets better at this and see the developement

It's difficult to keep the proportions right when drawing bigger pictures for some reason

Tried a body study. Hopefully,the proportions are better this time. (Please don't look at the hands, they're not finished...)

I like the facial structure you have done and from seeing your first drawing with the body to the second I could see the slight improvement, good job 🏽🏽

Here is a thread about hands, if you might get stuck on them I myself have troubles with on how the hand works .

So the series begins…the focus of these threads will be about sharing tips and hints, as usual. Everyone’s perspective is limited, mine included, so as much talking as I’m gonna do, it’d be great if other people who feel confident in these areas or just know a cool trick to share would help fill in the gaps.
