Ok..
Not even sure if you guys are up to this challenge of mine ^^; But it doesn't hurt to try.. hehe. welp... hopefully.. ![:sweat: :sweat:](https://forums.tapas.io/images/emoji/emoji_one/sweat.png?v=3)
It is originally named "Draw this in your art style" challenge in Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. But since most comic creators and comic artists reside in this place. I am otherwise calling it, "Draw this in your comic art style" challenge.
"Comic art style" because some people separate it from the usual art style they use in their comics. LIKE ME,, lol my usual art style is more realistic and more detailed but the art style I have that I use in comics are more cartoonish, bit bigger eyes and fluffier hair (cartoons are always part of exaggeration right) and coloring them with hard shading mostly. This saves me a lot of time. But otherwise if it's the same art style you always use. even in your comics, it's fine.
The point of this challenge is to see different styles with the same character/scene. There are so many talented artists here, and I would love to see so many various comic art styles they use. ^^

Draw the character below (her name is Nayelli, the main character of my newest webcomic btw lol) in your comic art style, same position, same gesture, same color pallette, same everything EXCEPT it's in your art style that you use in your comics. She remains human, please don't change her to any other kind of specie.
You're not allowed to exactly trace this picture.
You can add a background, experiment with lighting and shading if you want. Night scene or day time scene, as long as it's your art style that you use in your comics.
Don't forget to add your talk balloon and text saying on what does she think of your art style to you? lol, don't forget to let her mention the username you go by. With this, I would love to see how people do their own style of using text/fonts/talk balloons in their comics with the same scene pff
You can change her expression if you want so it would be synchronized with the talk balloon you provided.
If you're finished, please upload it here in the comments~~
All the works that will be uploaded here will be featured in my comic, with proper credit and promotion of their comic. Eg. "Drawn by ____, author of _____". Oof,, don't forget to link your comic to me. If you want to be featured earlier or first, finish your part earlier asap ^^
Miiiight be also featured in a YouTube video as well.
Deadline? It's open! Though again, the earlier the higher earlier chances of the YouTube video and feature part.
My most favorite art styles (I know everyone has unique and amazing styles, but definitely there would be my favorites as well, I am open to all art styles!) I will draw them a full colored headshot of their character from their comic, colored like this;
Here's the simple scene/character ya'll gonna draw;
(btw staying consistent with my comic art style is my main problem rn in terms of character's proportions, etc , although this one that I did has a touch of realism than when I draw her in the comic cover,, her face here is rounder here and it suckssss). Anyways, a good practice to draw your character at different angles many times to stay consistent for your comic.
I use Paint Tool Sai for drawing.
-
Photoshop for placing texts, touch-ups, effects.
-
Tablet I use; Star 03 Pen Tablet.
-
Time consumed for this; 1 hour and more or less than 15 minutes. I KNOW I am a slow artist,, aaa. I am still setting my own time and pace.
