When you open a new document, go to view and click transparent. Then create a new layer and fill it in as a new base layer. I do this with every new file to avoid the cursor spazzing out. I'm not sure if it's been fixed yet, I don't want to take chances. When you close a file and open it back up, don't just start working on it again. For every layer you want to make changes to, duplicate the layer and delete the old one. Working on old layers sometimes corrupts the file. When using the text tool, (unlike photoshop) you need to hit enter to create a new line, you can't just set the perimeter for the text box. Not really a glitch, just different. Honestly I find it easier to make dialogue fit better when I have to set the text manually. However, once you select your preferences for the text, you need to click the canvas before typing or the text tool will think you're trying to select a new font. It all becomes second nature pretty quickly, but it is a little annoying. Overall it's a good program, it's just newer and the creators are still figuring everything out.. If I had access to photoshop again I would still prefer using OpenCanvas 6.
