I just realised the reason he cut his hair is due to it linking to another traumatising memory which has not been made fully clear yet.
On top of that, it's more casual chats, more of Kai's caffeine addiction and school concerns. I'm not complaining, like I said before, what makes this comic work is the family dynamic and chemistry between characters.
