Right, here's my submission. I initially thought of portraying her in her usual attire, but I had the idea to both give her a mohawk and clad her in Regency-era attire. I doubt that I was particularly successful at either of these objectives.

Is it solid red metal or is it energy like a light saber?
It's a bit of both!
The blade is made of a conductive curcuit through which, when activated, the red energy coarses.
Here's a reference of the scythe in active and resting mode.Note: the Scythe can unfold without being activated
