Here's one from the last time I was a player in a campaign:

He's an honorable paladin (LG) whose father was basically the disgraced and deposed witch-king of Angmar and who hails from an evil culture run be demon-worshiping necromancers and that most people elsewhere treat like they're Nazis (justifiably).
I usually do draw my characters when I am a player, but I rarely do when I am a DM.
Here's another one from the same setting that started as a DMPC but was so much fun that he has since become my default starting character when playing with unfamiliar DMs:

He's a divination wizard apprentice with rogue skills and a street urchin (orphan) background. Everyone he's ever met has tried to use him to their advantage, as a result he has a complex about ensuring he is of value to people and is never in their way because he doesn't want to end up on the streets again!
What's Azul's backstory (if you have one)?
