Easter or something else!! Recently the major bl canvas comics have been doing bottom/daddy and I thought it was real fun.
I've seen collabs everywhere and have been reaching out to other artists in an attempt to get more info, but all I know is that most of them are hosted on Discord bc they sort of know each other and stuff. But for the proletariate, how do we do it concretely? I thought some of you guys would be interested!
I don't really post on tapas but my webtoon is called Black Out Days if you want to get a better look, also you can dm my on my insta : @oxyderkeia, I'd love to get to know some other creators! I'm both a comic artist and a novel/short story writer so I think this tapas community is very lovely. Hoping to hear from you all and how you are doing!

I'm sorry... they were doing WHA on Easter?!? :blank:

Sorry about that reaction.... I just... never heard of collab like that on a holiday like that lmao.

Anyway, last year people did the egg basket thing. Thought that was cool. Could be worth doing again. Does anyone still have the image to that?

I think they were doing that collab in general, not as a easter thing 'xD

Ahah no lol sorry I totally didn't mean it like that, I just mentionned it as an example so that everyone could picture what I was talking about, also the easter thing was a bruh idea bc I don't have any for now but I'd love to be able to collaborate with other creators more frequently!

And I've never heard about the basket thing! It looks fun! Or a spring collab, it's not too late is it? (Imagination/100 lmao)

What I have seen authors do in canvas is like a single episode with their OC in halloween costumes and stuff for halloween. It's not really an episode and it is more like 1 giant advertiser banner for multiple authors.

Did you mean that?

P.S. i think those are super fun and as a reader it is a way to find stories with similar themes that you may like.

P.S.S. The only time I didn't like it was when one author kept releasing those types of collaborations on a regular basis while avoiding updating the main story. Just mentioning it so you don't make that mistake.

Yup totally what I'm talking about! I think it's a great way to advertise your story and give a shout-out to other people's work! Also I really feel you about them being fun but getting annoying when it just becomes filler stuff, it's like they just want a fandom for their ocs like on insta but without really telling the story itself

Forgot to mention but you can also do a similar collab when you finish your story. Seen some of my favorite manhwa authors add a bunch of fan art from other authors congratulating them for finishing their story.

So there's another idea for a collab.

Oh right great idea! I love bonus stuff, and since it seems like there are many people here who have their story in the planning/prep phase it could still be kinda cool for them to enter if they want to to start gathering an audience idk?

That's probably a good idea. If I wasn't paranoid I would participate right away. But... in my case I prefer not to post anything until the official debut of my novels. That's just a personal choice led by paranoia.

I do think however that if you show an example of what you meant in your first post of this thread more people would jump on (it can be an image or a link). Many might not fully get what you meant.

P.S. A soon to debut collab promo is a great idea. Like 2023 releases.

Hopefully, the images I posted give you a better idea of what the author of the post meant. Doing a collab like the images but with easter as a thematic.

@abigaillmartin your characters would be a perfect match for an easter egg drawing even if it is not a collab.

Honestly thank you so much for your ideas and helping me getting my point across, you've been real cool! Don't hesitate to notify me when you plan to launch your webcomic, I'd be more than happy to give you feedback (if you want to) and spread the word!
