Hello!!!
My name is Zion!
I've worked professionally as a proofreader, book reviewer, and editor for over five years.
I provide objective advice on improving your story, fixing technical errors, and give constructive tips to develop your skills.
Reply or message me for further details if you're interested.

Please understand that I can give advice and pointers for several chapters for free, but I don't have time to edit full-length novels without compensation. Also, it's worth noting that I don't work on a deadline for free. I can't really afford to prioritize your project in my schedule. However, I enjoy helping writers improve and don't mind contributing a moderate amount of advice and encouragement for developing writers.

Hello, I would recommend clarification if you seek monetary gain from this. In which that case, we are now allowed to post anything related to searching for commission as stated by the rules.

I'm only intending to charge for larger commitments. I can give advice and pointers for several chapters for free, but I don't have time to edit full-length novels without compensation. Also, it's worth noting that I don't work on a deadline for free. I can't really afford to prioritize your project in my schedule. However, I enjoy helping writers improve and don't mind contributing a moderate amount of advice and encouragement for developing writers.

So essentially, the answer to your question is. If you're offering, I do work for pay. However, I also give free advice because I want to help.
I hope that clears things up.

Yes, that's a fantastic response that absolutely clears things up for writers who are interested. I'm not needing an editor at the moment (grad school applications and all that), but I thought I'd ask for clarification for people who might be interested.

What kinds of stories do you typically do editing work for? Also, roughly what word count are you willing to look over?

I've done a number of genres, but I don't work on nonfiction, horror, or erotic novels.
In general, I'm pretty flexible as I've been an avid reader of countless novels since early childhood.
If you have something specific in mind, just ask and I'll decide whether I'm willing to do it.

As for length, preferably 50 pages or less, unless you're actually hiring me.
The idea is roughly three short to medium chapters.
Since I'm working for free, length is flexible and I might do more or less according to time and interest.

Oh cool! Mine's sci-fi / slice of life, and I recently got done editing my first eight chapters. The first seven is about 50 pages, but if you're only interested in doing the first three or so, that's fine with me. Any feedback is appreciated.

Hi, thank you for the opportunity!

I'd be interested in getting feedback on my fantasy novel.

The earlier chapters are rather short since this is actually a novelization of my webcomic, so reading 50 pages would take you to the end of Chapter 27.

Hey! I'm super interested in any feedback you can offer as I'm planning to publish my book soon.

While it is fictional, my book does draw directly from my own personal experiences with coming to terms with my sexuality and dealing with mental health issues. It can be pretty heavy at times, so I understand if you don't want to read it.

If you do read it, your feedback will be much appreciated!
