Veronica's mom (Katherine Wood) has started a prank war with the Prince of Tricksters, Aramis! What wacky hijinks might ensue?
While I have a few ideas (19 pages of prank-filled hijinks), that hardly does justice to the idea of a true prank war. Rather, I'd like to see what you, the attractive, brilliant, and very talented members of this forum can think up!
Here's how this will work - from July 20-August 13, I will be posting my Etherwood pranks comics to r/comics every weekday. While that happens, the prank war is ON! Create a comic, involving at least one recognizable Etherwood character, involving any kind of practical joke. Post your comic on r/comics, and also post it here with a link to your post so I can find it. After August 13, I and my editor will review the entries and announce the winners on August 14th. Prizes will be given out the following week. I will post all valid entry comics on my main comic, Etherwood, with links to your work.
The winners will be as follows:
$60 - First Place: the comic with the most upvotes on r/comics
$50 - Second Place: the comic I and my editor like the best
$40 - Third Place: the comic my many children think is the best (they are the primary audience for Etherwood, after all)
$10 - Honorable Mentions - up to 10 additional comics will be awarded honorable mentions.
Disqualifications:
The following will be considered invalid entries: NSFW content, AI generated work, using bots or third parties to artificially influence your results, unbecoming behavior to other contestants or to the general public.

May I include my OCs in my contest entry? Yes, by all means. Please do.

Can I post my entry in other places in addition to Tapas and Reddit? Sure. You can post it on your own comic, or anywhere else you normally post. Please do.
Why are you using r/comics? It's a relatively impartial judge, and provides an avenue for people who are not familiar with our community comics to see them.
What are the limits on size, format, or length? No limits on size or length, however this contest is geared to short form humor, like the venerable 4 panel gag strip. I will not penalize a shorter or longer joke. The strip will have to be properly formatted for both Reddit and Tapas.
I don't know these characters well enough to tell a joke! I need ideas! Read the comic, then 
. Aramis has all the typical powers of a mythological kitsune, and he's a sucker for chicken! He also isn't averse to taking a pratfall or embarrassing himself as long as it's for a gag. I haven't shown much of Mrs. Wood, but she does extensive food gardening, many of the typical house chores required for a rural off-grid house, and volunteers at the Etherwood library. Also, I won't be upset if your non-canon comic doesn't adhere neatly to the Etherwood lore. If I wanted that, I would just be doing or commissioning them all myself.
How will prizes be paid? I plan to pay them via Paypal or Zelle. If those don't work, we'll work it out afterwards.
Can I enter more than one comic? Sure. If I get more than 13 comics total, though, I will probably only award one prize per author.
Why are you telling us about the comic now when we can't enter until July? I hope two months will be sufficient for all my friends to think of and create a comic around their busy summer schedules.
