Agree! We tried hard, that's a fact. Why should we act embarassed? It seems our culture not much different. In my place, saying what you've accomplished considered as a prideful (in a bad way, like being narcissist). Everyone should have their head low, under the term being modest and humble. Is it humble and modest to not acknowledge our effort? I don't think so.

And to make it worse, when we tried to stay humble and modest after our effort, they thought we're having some privilege (like born as smart in my case). If I said I did more than them, they'd pass it as me mocking them or saying they don't do their work.

People need to appreciate each other more. Life's already hard as it is, why not spread more love rather than hate?

i think the idea of being born smart is a little crazy, since literally everyone is born knowing literally nothing...except for babies who are read to in the womb...research still pending on that one

I made it up a couple weeks ago. It is intended to be a mix of a cat and a deer, with a horn in the middle, two antlers, stripe markings, etc. I felt I needed a mascot, so I made one.

Well it's good marketing, cuz it made me curious. What do you call it? I made up a fantasy creature I called a "Tiphantarrot" once (part tiger, part elephant, part parrot, i personally loved it, but my brother said it looked like a creepy elephant deity)

Just suggestions lol, you can call it whatever you like, it's your design. though if/when it becomes well know I will probably go around posting fan theories about it's ancient origins anyway, and what the people of ages past referred to it as, will be 'a horned lion.'

I used to invent creatures to. (Still do on occasion, but not as often as I've already thought of many). My brothers grew out of that phase, or really any creative phase, as they're more 'normie'. So that just leaves me.

Well, we welcome you to our creator-god-complex (what I choose to call unwavering creativity) club then. We've probably made close to fifty creatures, and counting. Some intentionally made to be gross (rat-worms anyone?) and others that are pretty epic (or scary deity elephants, possibly...)

My mom. She used to bring out duster when I was little. I forgot if she ever hit me with that, but it did give me trauma. I was scared of seeing duster in my home even if it only laying around doing nothing. Typical asian household 🤣

But I was naughty enough in my toddler and preschool days. I spread my artistic talents all over the house's walls. Maybe that's why I got scared with duster 🤣

Agree. We're white as sheet when we're born. Smart and not is only a label for being able and not, and it's 99% effort for me. It's just an excuse for those who does not give effort and I hate it.

It might also be an coping mechanism for people who struggle a lot at things. I prefer to try not to assume people's reasons because i've never lived in their heads/lives. I know personally I've bemoaned not being a prodigy of any kind because I see other people my age already excelling and greatly surpassing me, but at the same time, i have no idea how hard these things were for them, and jealousy can be a coping mechanism for feeling inadequate, even if you ARE trying your best

Even I get envious of my friends who seems to have accomplished a lot more than me. Yet I can't imagine how hard it is for them. I know a friend who have 4 works. I was trying to understand everyone has their own struggles.

I believe people has things they'd do good (like true calling), and that's how people are diversified. Some are good in A, while some are good in B, etc.

Just... it did not go well in my case. Guess I got kinda triggered when I typed that. I'm sorry and I do not mean offense. Still try to control my reaction when people express their jealousy towards me as coping mechanism, I just need to put it at that and still be kind.
