Thanks for all the great advice, Samuraiflame!
We have been featured twice on Line Webtoon discover and were on the daily snack on Tapas once. We have been trying to figure out how to engage with our audience on Webtoon, Tapas. A few fans have joined us on discord there but not many. It has been fun chatting with them though.
There is a problem of people joining your server to try and use your audience to promote their own work though.
For us we have had the same experience, webtoon readers will not engage with our social media.
We havent done a Q&A yet. So we will have to do that at the end of our next chapter. We were featured not that long ago so we are pretty new to this.
And character polls sound like a great idea. Only, we are a husband and wife team who hire an illustrator for the comic.
Stephen writes the comic, I (Brittany) design the layout and lettering, soojung draws and colors, then I (Brittany) finishes it up and creates a mobile version for webtoon and Tapas. It is originally designed for print.
Definitely a great idea to create a video trailer. People love videos.
Honestly the best way to get featured is to either have a really great story or really great art. If you have both, even better.
Stephen has started making writing advice videos on our YouTube channel, Raptagon Studios.
Our first video was on How to Kill a Character. Or in other words how to make sure that if a character has to die, it will mean something to the audience.
You can check it out here if you want: https://youtu.be/l7gPNtbmWOo
Hope we could be of some assistance. And We also would be welcome to some more advice or feedback as well.
