More specifically a fae  He is a main antagonist of my dark faerytale novel :>

When living on an island unconnected with the rest of the world, fashion kinda just does its own thing. But, her current outfit is three years out of fashion there anyway.

She just doesn’t really keep up on trends. She bought/stole? it because it looked funny.

Name: Kiki
Age: 16
Style: Aliyah-core (very mild because there's only so many details I can draw :sob: I do plan on giving her earmuffs next time she appears, I just forgot to this time)

that's one i've never heard of before

The androgynous woman's fashion was build on a vague understanding of punk/grunge/whatever this is. This kid's style is inspired by nothing aside from a desire to make him vaguely effeminate. I should definitely study more fashion stuff.

My doodle of my OC, Kimberly, from "Hushabye Prince."

Her style is coquette x cottage core with a little hint of girl-next door. The goal was to make her style as princessy as was reasonably possible for an adult woman with a job, very feminine, lots of lace, ruffles, bows, bright colors etc. For this reason, there are going to be a lot of bodice-type pieces to her outfits, like in old-fashioned clothing, and she's always either wearing a dress or a skirt. I've yet to design her one outfit that includes pants, despite the fact that the story takes place in winter. It's in Maryland, our winters are weird, and sometimes not even that cold.

while this outfit is just for the cover, here's my partner (the artist's) rendering:

I really like Sao (long hair)'s fit here.

When your comic is a fantasy story, but you like fashion so you go out of your way to draw your characters in modern settings:

anybody got grunge babies? I started with just streetwear as Lee Jimin's base but added grunge (crazy as this is gonna sound) because I wanted her to have some more feminine pieces. despite what one might assume from her appearance, she's a very affectionate daddy's girl, and she likes to wear pretty things, though she still tends to wear dark colors

Jinwoo's aesthetic is called "Soft Boy Regal" not clear in the minis, because the artist styled them with whatever came to mind, but it'll be clearer in the actual episodes. unrelated to the aesthetic itself, he only wears the color blue

Meanwhile Hallie's aesthetic is Boho-hippie while Mad's is cute-tomboy

Kattar's aesthetic is like, soft boy x bad boy. Sweaters and leather jackets lol. he's very fashionable, unlike the female lead:

Etan drove me to the gallery - Kattar had work in the morning, so we - I - made plans for him to meet us there at twelve o’clock (p.m.) sharp. When Etan first laid eyes on him, standing by the hand-me-down hot rod in his faux-leather jacket - hair slicked back all ‘West Side Story,” he looked about ready to pick me up by the back of the collar, turn around, and go back to the car. I’d seen his eyes burn with disdain, almost hatred, a thousand times if I had once, but this look was blacker than any of those.

Rufus the demon prince is the only character in the story who would be considered fashionable/celebrity.
Elves in this universe call it "Drip" and like it.

i changed him alot but my original inspiration for is fashion was dabura from DBZ

yeah, i'm weird whatever. I'm trying to design an aesthetic i'm calling "Princess Punk"

Have another. I just really dig this picture for some reason

Astra's fashion is inspired by Barbie and the Disney princesses.

OH, are you Challenging me? :joy:

both characters have a very formal sense of fashion, which kinda harkens back to the Victorian age.

Clyborne tends to dress a bit more formal, but Rin tend to get a bit more experimental, as he's a magician.

As for BF-I try to have some elaborate fashion styles from the 1930s for Crystal in civilian form.

For her superhero form, I try to go for function over fashion, and have it based off 1930s pulp heroes. I try to incorporate the fedora in there as well.

In my comic that kinda doesn’t have a name right now because I’m gonna change it when I start reuploading… :sweat_02: I’ve been trying to go for a unique kind of fantasy fashion with lots of robes, puffy sleeves, scarves, and boots. The setting is on an island that’s completely disconnected with the rest of the world. Although it doesn’t affect the plot much (a reason I’m changing the name) It does affect the culture in the backgrounds of the plot.

This is my female lead from "Damsel in the Red Dress." Thought I'd share a fun fact about her eyebrows.

I told my father that for some reason I imagined her with either really dark, or pretty thick eyebrows for a girl, and he suggested I do both. I think it makes her stand out more, because in a lot of ways, she considers herself to look like an 18 inch doll (she's extremely short) but little details like her figure and eyebrows, help her to be more aesthetically unique. The dress she's wearing is one of my many takes on one of the two central red dresses from the novel.

I have to do more art work of Essence Walker, the female lead of my new novel. Unlike Alicia she has style lol, and I know very specifically the sort of outfits she gravitates to as well.

She wears the color purple pretty often, short skirts over maxi-dresses, and sweetheart necklines. Because she's very tall and thin, she wears a lot of belts on her outfits as well

I'll go over them all

Emerald usually dresses casually, with a little bit of a punky bite.
She really likes accessorizing with jackets, even when it is warm out.

Lolly it is not goth, but she does have a weird aversion to bright colors, as she typically wears muted and dark colored clothing. She also abhors wearing pants and shorts, so she typically only wears skirts and/or dresses.
The flower in her hair is a personal thing, and also a bit of a spoiler if you haven't read Reap yet.

Isham is a vampire, but she also overheats easily, so unless she is going to be out in direct sunlight, she prefers short sleeved shirts and shorts. the opposite of Lolly, she hardly ever wears skirts or dresses, and much prefers wearing pants and shorts. She also tries to wear sandals more often than not, because they are comfy and easy to wear.

Esen-Ali is an interesting case, as she is the princess of heaven, so she where is very elegant clothing, however she is also VERY old, so her elegant clothing is also rather simple in design. the hilt of her sword is a pineapple, as that is the symbol of Heaven (what with the apple being the symbol of Hell and all)

Which ironically, you do not see any Apple motives with Kno, the princess of Hell. She actually does dress more goth like, however she does actually like bright colors. Due to being hatched without a voice box, she always wears a scarf to soothe her neck (and to act as a second set of arms). She also always wears a form of an Alice band, but that's more likely to do with autism.

Finally, we have the major active antagonist Edgar. He used to be a bio scientist, hence the lab coat, however, you can see that he ain't right in the head, hence the explosives. The Guest mask actually isn't there to protect him from the fumes or anything like that, but to hide his identity, and this gas mask was the only one that could fit his face. I would explain why, but that would be a huge spoiler.
Also, not a fashion thing, but I also shade him with a different brush than the others to show how volatile he is.

This is Essence Walker, the FL of my new novel "A Dozen Morning Glories." I've had to practice drawing a different body type than I typically work with to draw her, but I think i'm getting better at it.

Essence Walker from "A Dozen Morning Glories" and Leia Taylor from "Rigamarole."

Essence is wearing one of her date fits. Leia doesn't usually dress up, but this is what she picked out to attend a school dance.

This barely counts as fashion, because the dress is so simple, but the it's notable in "Cooties" the chapter of "Damsel in the Red Dress" where she wears it because of a certain mistake on her part lol.

I'm still no good at drawing my FL from "Rigamarole" Leia Taylor, so I've gotta practice a lot more lol.

The top picture is just a random fit I made her that she probably never actually wears. The bottom is my attempt at designing her prom dress. I'm not satisfied yet.

Four outfits I drew recently. The top one is Alicia from "Damsel in the Red Dress" in a dress from a photoshoot upcoming in the story. The second is her notorious plaid dress from "Pacifier" and below are pics of Leia from "Rigamarole" and Essence from "A Dozen Morning Glories"

Well here's an outfit swap I did for my FLs from my different novels. Alicia and Leia are wearing Essence's dresses, and Essence is wearing (technically a sweater) that Alicia stole from Kattar. Since Essence is actually taller than Kattar, this has to be a bigger sweater, since she couldn't wear his sweater as a dress lol.

I drew Alicia in this outfit designed by my younger siblings. it's much less cutesy than what's normal for her

18 days later

first ever attempt at drawing digitally. Zen's characteristic pieces are her cut off sleeve shirt, big black earrings and floor length granny skirt. can't be seen here, but this skirt is so long it has a sort of psuedo train

I was having fun designing croquis fits for my three novel's FLs XD. Essence's is definitely an AU tho

Not much in the way of fashion here, but i did try drawing makeup on Leia today.

I love Texas's shrug it's so pretty,

And Alicia in this dress (Kattar proceeds to suffer a serious nosebleed.)
