Favorite songs/musicians/other thing to listen to while working on something?

To be honest the only reason why I listen to music while working is because the only thing I like more than drawing is singing, so while making something I'm usually shouting lyrics at the top of my lungs x'D

I'm usually listening to letsplays and podcasts, but when I listen to music I lean towards Alt Rock, Power Metal, Neo-Psychedelia, Ska, and Chiptunes. Every now and then I'll get into a classical music kick. ALTHOUGH LATELY when I listen to music I've been picking one song and just keeping it on repeat because I focus way better that way cuz if the song changes I'll get distracted.

I like the same kind of music as you and didn't really like him at first but the album 'Acid Rap' by Chance the Rapper is really neat!

I pretty much listen to anything, the important part for me is merely having music I can sing to when I'm working, so I'm not sure I can help with the focusing part, ahaha. Still, I listen to anything from rock to punk metal to indie to bubblegum pop. Somewhere between those last two categories, I love Marina and the Diamonds (though, the genre pretty much depends on what song you choose in her case). If you're into electro swing, Caravan Place has you covered, plus vintage channels such as Post Modern Jukebox (which is suuuuper awesome). And if you'd rather just indier stuff, there's Mike Krol, Alexander Pearls, Metric... just to name a few.
And, for punk, I'm afraid I could only recommend Spanish bands, haha... Though I heard that some people focus better when they listen to lyrics they don't understand (assuming you don't speak Spanish, don't get mad if you do!)

I don't know if they're considered alternative rock, or even alternative pop anymore, but Blood on the Dancefloor is good music to listen to if you're working on like... a fight scene or... otherwise intense/dramatic scene.

Otherwise, I listen to a lot of 21 Pilots and Halsey XD Which you already mentioned, but whatever. For wordless music, TheFatRat is a good provider for a variety of beats and jams-! And if you're into it, vocoloid always makes good background music that isn't too intrusive (as is most music in languages you don't understand... at least thats what I've noticed).

If you're looking specifically for punk, there's the classics like Fall Out Boy! There's also... Ghost Town! And Set It Off! Set It Off is really good!

I like having podcasts on, because they usually last for an hour or more, which means that I don't have to skip that much. Currently, I'm listening to The Other Side/Anime Outsiders a lot

I gotta GOTTA listen to audio books when I work. My overthinking becomes anxiety ridden if I have nothing engaging to focus my mind on. Songs change too often and lead to my mind wandering, where the books keep me focusing elsewhere so my hands can just work. I frequently listen to The King Killer Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, which is masterfully narrated, as well as any of Brandon Sanderson's work which is just fun.

I am more at watch series while working ^^, you got to love Netflix XD, best invention ever.
but if I had to say musique, well I love rock and metal ^^, and classical, so any of this type of music

I create music playlists for each of my series, and they have different moods XD Like my sci-fi stories get a lot of electric/techno tracks, other like fantasy get a lot of cinematic/instrumentals.
When I work on a comic, I pick the related playlist to get in the specific mood.

I'm kinda obsessed with Hiroyuki Sawano's works at the moment, so there's that. Other times I hit Thomas Bergerson or Two Steps from Hell radio on Google Play to get some epic instrumental stuff going.

Pretty much what you already listed, I have a soft spot for punk stuff, and also really fits my story and main characters attitude, so I tend to listen to it even more when working. Billy Talent is my favourite, and Panic! is another that I often listen to, some stuff from Cage the Elephant, The Used, Coheed and Cambria and some Sum 41 are also thrown in here and there.

For the instrument stuff, it's pretty much all video game soundtracks, I really enjoy video game soundtracks.

While storyboarding and penciling I'll usually listen to music, soundtracks or instrumental mixes.
Once inking and flats are underway, I'll switch over to podcasts and audiobooks. I find I don't need to concentrate as much for this part of the process and changing up what is being listened to helps keep things fresh for repetitive processes

I used to be more of a gamer before I started working on Witch Spine, so now I tend to listen to gaming podcasts [IGN - Beyond, Unlocked, Scooped... and anime podcasts IGN anime club is a plus, there's also Kinda Funny and Pockets full of soup]

I listen to alot of fighting videogame soundtracks. Along with some Wu-Tang Clan, Alice in Chains, and Hendrix. My musical taste is sort of everywhere.

My main playlist for while I'm drawing would consist of a mixture of cartoon and anime soundtracks e.g. adventure time, Steven universe, Dragon Ball, Samurai Champloo, HunterxHunter, Cowboy Bebop, JoJo's Bizzare Adventure (the JJBA soundtrack is especially saucy and baking pancakes is a banging tune) also some chill beats and rock here and there in that playlist. The playlist helps inspire me to draw because it reminds me of all the things I take inspiration from. I usually listen to this playlist whenever I'm drawing Dreamland but mostly during the inking stage really.

I recently took a quick listen to the soundtrack for the Dragon Ball Z movie "cooler's revenge" and was like "wow". It is actually soooooooo good (but maybe that's just the nostalgia speaking). I looked into the genre a bit more so I also have a playlist of rock/metal type songs as well which I like to listen to sometimes while I draw

I also have another playlist that is full of chill hip hop instrumentals, it's relaxing for the inking process. This is the 2nd playlist i use the most.
