Oh, but deep sea life is among the most incredible on the planet. I love how alien and grotesque some of those animals look.

I realize they're not exactly what you'd call "cute", but I love them nonetheless. :3

Okay I know it'll sound silly but, I love budgerigars.

Over the years I've had five of them and they are just the biggest personalities, sauciest little jerks (when they're fighting over the toy mirror), and the snuggleist little loves. I've also had 3 these beautiful babies:

While cockatiels are long lived, they actually suffer from strokes and cancer and I found this out the hard way. One of my lads died of a tumor and the other had a stroke. My oldest (who is about my age) is still with me, and he's a bitey, lovely little lark. (He bites other people, he never bites me, so I have to keep others away from his cage. I can only let him out to wander around in my room. XD )

I'm sorry about your cockatiels. I mean, I know it means nothing when a stranger on the internet says it, but I just felt it needed saying. I didn't know they were prone to conditions like that.

But budgies are awesome. Parrots in general. They're just full of character, and also very intelligent. I love African gray parrots. Hanging parrots too!

Thank you. Actually I find it pretty meaningful, I think that we're strangers but we can empathize, and that is pretty powerful. Sadly it's true, those are two of the leading causes of death among Cockatiels as I understand it. I had adopted a Cockatiel and a Budgy together who had been neglected and were starving. I didn't know their ages so, I knew it was possible they were older birds. Both of them died about 5 years after I adopted them but, I'm happy I got to know them and to give them a nice life for however long I could.

I love parrots, they are life time pals, they really are! They're so incredible and inquisitive too, it's just a bird human hanging out around your digs. XD My brother had an African gray who was a sailor if ever I'd heard. He only liked three people, my brother, myself, and the cat. Everybody else he'd gnaw on. XD

@AwkwardCat Yes! Okapis are gorgeous! I don't think I've ever seen one live, only on photos and videos. I'd sure like to though!

@MoonSquid Seconding all of those. Bats, in particular, are really incredible critters, and far more diverse than you'd think. Interesting fact: the world's smallest mammal is actually a bat, the hog-nosed bat from southeast Asia.

I love so many animals it's such a tough choice! As a dog owner I love pups especially my min pin, he's such a sassy but affectionate lil guy! I'm also a bit of a bird lady having had two budgies and a cockatiel, i miss them a lot but they all had spunk. My cockateil especially had a habit of keeping my sleep schedule in check making me to go to sleep whenever it was late and he wanted it quiet and dark to rest.

I also think that ferrets are awesome. My school had one for their biomedical /agricultural program and it was super cute, lil fella even had a makeshift hammock made out of an old rag.

and if the name doesn't give it away I adore foxes, fennec and arctic are some of my personal favorites, as well as the red, swift and corsac fox.
