Feedback on my Manga series Please

Hi everyone my name is Imani and I'm trying to become a professional mangaka. I've been practicing and working on this skill for almost 8 years. I plan on printing out copies of volume one after all 180+ pages are completed and selling it through places like Amazon. I would appreciate any feedback on my series. I've only gotten a few pages done so far and they will be remastered once my hand heals up. I will have a prologue that's around 8 pages then Chapter 1, which will be 56 pages. Please give me feedback on what I've got so far, that would really help on my journey to becoming a pro mangaka.

When I read it, I saw that you were tackling some very controversial subject matter. It's intriguing in it's disturbing nature. It also poses some philosophy about the role of animals in society. I think that it is what makes this manga unique.

The art is very good. I especially like the way you draw buildings and animals (not in the violent way for obvious reasons). It shows your skill and attention to details. I also like the art being in black and white to complement the mood of the story. Well done! I do know you are on a hiatus while your hand recovers. Don't work too hard to that point!!

To anyone just reading and have not read this story, it's an interesting read. It may be a bit mature for sensitive readers, but it is definitely worth checking out!

I read your comic and it is very good. Like others have said, it is controversial and makes you think about how we treat life. I personally believe that being vegetarian is the future although I myself am omnivore.

The art is very good and detailed! Having it be black and white instead of color actually emphasizes the drama more. You are a very good artist I can't believe your drew those buildings and cars.

I know you will get more subscribers. Good job.

Thank you! I'm actually not vegan (yet) but I wrote about this topic for many reasons.

And yes, I have I took my time to practice drawing the building, cars, and background because I feel like it adds a more realistic atmosphere to my world.

I would suggest to post sets of panels that scroll down at a time vs one page per episode it will feel more invested.

I appreciate your suggestion. I'm actually going to do that for Webtoon, that'll be my mobile-friendly version, but I want a traditional version on Tapas.

You had good paneling for the most part and you have a little bit of a style going on.

Now, I'm not really of the opinion that manga has to read from right to left to be "authentic" but should read in whatever direction you or your nationality is use to reading so I'm glad you went with the decision to design it from left to right.

Some of the characters are drawn with very thin lines or details with thin lines that are also in different shades of grey. I think your manga would look better if all characters were drawn with just black lines with line weight at least equal to or similar to the background around them. Much like how you drew your protagonist in your chapter one when he's taking a shower. Leave whatever you want to do in gray to the gray tones anything that's a line just let it be black.

The only other suggestion I have is for the lettering. Your lettering isn't half bad it just needs some adjustments here and there. Usually when you letter you either want to do what's called anchor your lettering or pyramid it into a diamond shape. Now I only saw a few missed oppurtunities in your manga for the diamond shape. The rest just need to be anchored. Some of them are already somewhat anchored to the panel whether you knew that's what you were doing or not. Anchoring just means the text fits to the panel. Instead of a diamond think more like its half of a diamond shape and makes a pyramid and that pryamid is either right side up or uspide down depending on whether it's anchored to the top or bottom of the panel.
