Feedback on my new art style please

So I had recently have been working on doing a bit of an overhaul for my comic and general art style as well. Mostly to give myself a bit more of "serious" art style and as part of a new year's resolution to push myself and experiment more as an artist.

Yesterday, I redesigned one of my characters to give them a more detailed art style and to experiment with coloring styles for my next comic project.

I feel I'm off to a good start, but I'm curious to know what you guys think and how I can improve later designs going down the line in the future and which coloring style looks the best.

Coloring Style 1: Flats with a shading brush (What I currently do)

Coloring Style 2: Watercolor (Been experimenting with this one recently)

Coloring Style 3: Shady Damp Graphite Brush

Which style do you think looks the best and would be the most practical and how can I improve this style going forward?

Maybe try cell shading! If you need some examples, watch some of Lavendertowne videos. The way she shades would probably look really awesome here- I think she uses the oil paint brush and the smudge tool.

I like the graphite brush style the most. It gives off a kind of antique feeling that i like seeing in cartoons/comics.

Personally, I like number two best. I think it blends nicely, especially the yellow shoulder, and looks the most polished.

I actually really love #3, it looks like it's own original style, reminds me of Okami game or like vintage comic pages and looks more... expensive (?) of them all? Maybe it would be even better with some cell shading

I really like the first picture you have presented, idk I kind of like the pixelated feel to it.

It would have to be between 1 or 3 for me because three it gives off a kinda traditional feel (idk how to put it into words )
and 1 it is like I have said

Thanks guys. I'm pretty split between 1 and 3 as well. So I might fiddle with them a bit more and see how it looks in the future.

I like the third one. Not only does it look more polished, it also seems to me it would take less time to color in that style, which for a comic is essential.

I do like 1 a lot. But I think 3 looks good too, and yeah it seems like it may be easier to pull off consistently over time.

Thanks guys. I think i might try to combine 1 and 3 to see if I can get a style that combines the best of both in terms of unique and striking style along with convenience in that regard.

I like the texture on 3, as well as the bright colors. The other ones are also nicely bright, but the shadows don't feel as clean, and so I just like how 3 is neat and tidy. Especially since the character design has a bunch going on.

It's hard to say which is best though because I don't know what the rest looks like, so feel free to ignore me.

Thanks. Yeah, this was more of a test run and i wanted to focus on redesigning the face mostly. So I'm probably gonna work on a full body reference soon enough.

Number two, hands down! Which stems from my personal love of painting pieces but that one actually made me very excited haha!
