Feedback Please?

Hello. My name is Joshua Isaac, and I am preparing myself to launch my first digital comic project on this site known as GalSaga.

I have most of my draft work on my tumblr page, and will be posting some works to my portfolio page ( The tumblr page listed here- http://strawberryhedgehogillustration.tumblr.com/ )

Before I start with the posting on the portfolio, I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my work, so that I can improve?

Any feedback I can get would help this project grow, and that's what I am hoping to do for the audience. Most of my work is conceptual and still basic, but I'm getting better.

Hey quick tip re: coloring solid areas! Not sure if you know already, but:

It looks like you're filling the areas with the paintbucket directly, which leads to a thin white line! For quality purposes, there are a number of ways you can avoid it, but here's my process.

What I do is use the magic wand tool to select the area around the main object

1. Select -> Modify -> Expand -> Expand by: 2 pixels or however many pixels you want
2. You invert your selection and fill a new bottom layer with the color of
   choice with bucket tool. You can lock and make clipping masks to color on that solid
   layer, make more on top, etc etc.

I use photoshop and don't have gimp, but I'm sure there are gimp equivalents! Good luck! Your robot designs look really rad!

I use SAI but I still know the pain of that pesky white line u o u Thankfully, SAI is super great with selecting stuff and usually doesn't leave that weird white line behind. The method you provided though, feyuca, is quick and easy, and I'll be sure to remember it if I'm ever using the select tool in Photoshop or any other program where this problem arises nodnod :3

@ UzukiCheverie- I always heard about SAI being a pretty good for coloring and stuff... will need to look into that program
