First time writing in Tapas - Experience Author looking for friends

Hi all, I’m an author with over 4 years of experience and more than 2 million words written. This is my first time sharing my work on Tapas, and I’m wondering if my content would be suitable for this amazing platform.

I’m writing an action fantasy heavily influenced by Solo Leveling, and ORV but I’ve put a lot of thought into making it more historical.

Hi, welcome! I think it depends on what you’re hoping to get out of it but if your main aim is to share something you love writing and gain some community then Tapas is great 🥰 if you’re hoping to make money, then… well, I’ve made $0.14 in ad revenue after a year and my story did reasonably well. So, really a hobby and not a job vibes here

Hi Alexandera!

I think in terms of income, Tapas is for sure not the place unless you are among one of the top creators. I am also an author aspiring to be full time. I would try to diverse your books across multiple websites that have different monetization structures. I think your story would do pretty well on Royal Road. I would create maybe like a Patreon or something or even maybe a YouTube. Just do whatever it takes to increase your social presence. By doing this, you will gradual gain more readers and supporters. I hope you genuinely succeed! Just never give up and keep working hard. Make a Discord server btw! It helped me massively
