Height, age, and other bits of personal information can only get you so far when getting to know someone. On the other hand, something completely random can often tell you more about a person in one sentence than a whole list of stats. That's the idea behind this thread: anyone who wants to can reveal pieces of info about themselves that they feel comfortable sharing.

So, let's do it like this: everyone who replies lists five utterly random facts about themselves. These can be interesting bits of personal history or appearance, uncommon preferences, fears, aspirations - anything that you feel is amusing or relevant. Keep them short - going into it in length spoils the mystery. Leave something for other posters to stick to and inquire about if it piques their interest.

Naturally, as I'm starting the thread, I'll go first:

  1. I have a scar on my forehead when my cousin accidentally hit me in the head with a rock.

  2. I had my first kiss earlier this year, just a month or so shy of my 29th birthday.

  3. I can't stand watermelon (as in, the actual fruit), but I love watermelon flavoured drinks and candy.

  4. I haven't thrown anything up since I was 11.

  5. I am ridiculously fond of pugs and seeing one on the street is enough to brighten up my day.

Ooooo, this sounds like fun!!

  1. I was born with hip dysplasia.

  2. I used to say I was allergic to green apples, simply cause I hated them.

  3. I am actually allergic to the flu vaccine. (Or at the very least, have SEVERE reactions to it)

  4. I have recurring nightmares about natural disasters.

  5. I've broken my left wrist twice, in opposite directions.

Let's see...

I. I haven't been sick in over a year (not even a cold)
II. I've sprained both my ankles at once without realising it
III. I hate most fruits, except in smoothie or juice form
IV. Power Point is my go to image editor
V. I can't sneeze.

I am an identical twin
I am scared of mice.
I passed my driving test on the 6th attempt
for a while, I loved in Italy.
I love bananas that are nearly black

I love green apples, they're my favourite kind! Especially when they're super sour.

I still hate them, unless they're baked into things. Haha. They're too sour for me. I prefer Gala Apples. <3

Alright then.

  1. I was born with severe leg deformities - my leg had to be reconstructed when I was just a baby, so that I could have working legs today. I have weird co-ordination and random pain sometimes.

  2. I have no food allergies but am allergic to insect stings, which can take up to a month to heal.

  3. I pass most exams with flying colours, but every time I have taken a speaking exam I've needed a retake because of my stutter.

  4. My mother introduced pagan mythology to me as a child to help me cope with a bad situation, but I grew up to actually believe in it and abandoned Catholicism to be a warlock.

  5. I hate almost everything cherry and strawberry flavoured. Get it away from me.

Blasphemy! I'm all for people believing what they want and living their lives in accordance with it, but the sanctity of strawberries and cherries should not be so vehemently rejected!

Alright let's do this thing.

  1. I've never been attracted to anyone I've meet in person.
  2. I love Pokemon possibly way to much.
  3. I randomly research history and myths.
  4. One of my feet is bigger than the other.
  5. I doubt myself almost constantly.

I second this notion.

  1. I read palms and Tarot cards.
  2. I also practice hypnosis.
  3. I'm pretty sure I met a succubus.
  4. I taught myself to swim.
  5. I'm painfully shy in person.

EDIT: I should mention that I learned to swim in a pool, and a lifeguard was always present. Don't try this alone.

I've yet to cross this frontier. I'm terrified of water. I mean, swimming in it. I've been known to drink it occasionally.

Sounds like fun
1. I can not touch my toes
2. I can't swim
3. I get sick at least 10 -15 times a year
4. I am a god damn clown
5. Spiders are my only enemies in life

  1. I've never been in a serious relationship in my 22 years and I couldn't care less about it.
  2. I didn't grew up with my dad. He left my mother before my first birthday. He had other problems in his life than dealing with a child, so he thought it'll be better for him to break away from everyone he knows and never talk to them again.
  3. Although I was born and grew up in Germany, I spent the first four school years in an international school. I dunno exactly why, I think my grandparents had high hopes for me. But yeah, this led to learning English since I was 7 and thanks to the internet I could easily apply and improve my English after switching to an average German school.
  4. In my comic, I featured a spider in one story arc and weirdly enough, I believe it helped my arachnophobia. I had some spiders in my apartment and I could get close to them without freaking out, I even greet them!
  5. I hate tomatoes with a passion. They just taste awful. I can eat them in a salad or on a pizza though, but never. Ever. Raw.
  1. Ditto. When I was 7, my neighbour threw a brick at my head. It's hidden by my hair.
  2. I have torticollis from a problem with my eye. When I watch TV or look at the computer screen, I have to look at it side on.
  3. I have an unusual birthmark on my leg. In the summer, when I'm wearing shorts, people stop me to tell me that I've splashed mud on myself. No, that's just my permanent skin. Ta.
  4. I pushed my sister down the stairs... twice. We were 4 and 6.
  5. I have mild aichmophobia which is a fear of sharp objects. I don't mind needles but I hate knives. I can't stay in the room if somebody is cutting something up.

Auto-correct kept trying to change "aichmophobia" to "homophobia". That would have gone down well.

Yikes. I hope you were playing, like my cousin and I. I have no hair that can hide my scar, but it's not that visible anyway.

-I also have facial scars, you guys, but that's because I fell face-first on a concrete brick patio. Twice. Two scars. I have bangs, so they're both hidden.
-I love spiders sm. When I was little there was an ENORMOUS one who lived in between the glass and the screen on my bedroom window, and every night when I went to bed I could see her in there weaving her web and catching her flies.
-I have an insanely loud singing voice. I can't help it. I'm just So Loud.
-I collect postcards!!!!!! I LOVE POSTCARDS!!!
-I'm an Aries, but I'm always let down by the posts because I am the opposite of a stereotypical Aries. Sadface. I don't even believe in astrology, I just want to laugh at Tumblr.

I don't believe in astrology either, but I'm always such a stereotypical Cancer.

This is spooky. You've all had similar head injuries to me?
When I was younger I fell off my bike and was concussed, blood everywhere. I have a permanent scar on my temple because of it.

Guess we should change the name of this thread to "Who has the best cranial injury?"
