Like @arbiterswake I also began digital art in October, but already how I approached making it has changed. I see the difference...maybe you will too? Apparently bugs are a constant in my life/comic

I think my improvement this year is subtle since most of my drawing was for comics. Definitely did improve illustration & painting skills somewhat but when I compare it to 2018 & 2017 pieces it's not a significant enough jump for me to feel satisfied... Switching from Paint Tool SAI to Clip Studio was a big reason for that, I think. It's taken all of 2020 to figure out a comfortable painting method in CSP >_> Definitely want to work on color harmony, composition, and storytelling this next year!! Maybe do some painting, too, I really didn't get to do it this year ;-;

Comic panels are definitely the most improved for me this year though. Like it's actually kinda crazy how much of a difference there is.

I definitely grew a lot, especially in my comic pages I feel.

I think I've gotten better with my character illustrations too, I've been trying to get a better grasp on how to shade complicated figures, make my faces more appealing and the clothing more realistic with folds and stuff.

Oh man... I worked really hard this year. This is the same character (besides the fact that he took his clothes off heh) - I think my character drawing has come a pretty long way. Can't wait to keep practicing in 2021.
