Flipnote Hatena

I'm curious to know who here started drawing because of Flipnote Hatena? And if you did, who were your favorite creators on there? (if you can remember them that is, its been a while) Personally my favorite creators were ShinyEevee and EpicGuitar.

hahaaaaaaa i did! i loved learning how to animate on flipnote as a kid, it was so much fun. i dont remember any particular creators though

Yeah I think that was my favorite part! Learning to animate when I was kid was the best thing and got me into drawing in the first place!

I started animating bc of flipnote, and even made some of my first comics on there...

I didn't start drawing because of Flipnote but I did make my first comic because of it. I just copied an animation on there on a piece of copy paper.
So I know a lot of young artists on the internet had their "sonic oc" phase, or just a phase where they drew oc's based off an established property. I had that phase because of a user named TheShinyEevee. She was great and I ended up drawing multiple oc's based off her interpretation of eevees. I was also a big fan of Gizmo.

I started using Flipnote only a little while before Hatena shut down, and even so, I was never really into the online community (that was more my sister's thing).

Although I thought it was so cool that people could make such amazing animations with that simple little program...voici, my first stab at animation ^^;
