Font recommendations?

There’s an overwhelming amount of options and I’m pretty confused on what I should use. I’d prefer something free to use that can be bolder. What fonts do you use for your own comic/what might be a good fit for mine? Here’s a few panels to give you an idea of my style.

I do my own lettering by hand - I know you're working in digital, but it will probably be worthwhile to create a font based on your own preferred lettering. It's easy to do, and will allow you to get a unique font with no rights issues that looks exactly how you want it to.

Otherwise, I've found Odaballoon and Anime Ace to be viable free comic fonts depending on how you prefer your comic to look.

For your art, I would recommend something that is, of course, readable but clearly has the imperfections of being handwritten. A slightly calligraphic font would probably work best, but it shouldn't be too clean.

I use https://www.dafont.com/ for all my fonts, and based on your art I'm partial to Snow White by FontPanda. For something more sans serif, maybe something like Naomi's Hand by Naomi D. But there's lots of unique, 100% free to use fonts on the site so if you don't like my suggestions, there is plenty to choose from.

Looking at your artwork, the first thing that comes to mind is using this kind of font:
(This is for use in titles.)

If it's for text within the comic, I suggest prioritizing readability. I think a simple Roman typeface would be fine.

Careful, most fonts on Dafont are free for personal use only - so if you published a book later, they could go after you, even though they probably won't. Double check that they are fully free to use!

Yes, I'm aware. I try to keep to the public domain fonts and there's a way to tag for just those. Thanks!

I used
Back issues or crime fighter from Blambot.com.
Then I used a Tintin font but I don´t know 100% if it´s free.

When I read other comics I´m just happy when the text is readable because
often it´s not and I prefer reading the most simple fonts and I would always
prefer that compared to some fancy font doesn´t matter if I read Asterix,
slice of life, fantasy or erotic

I might try that since I think a more handrawn look would work well, though I’m not totally sure since my handwriting sucks. Thank you for the suggestion!

You can make a font of a handwriting you like. That´s what I did with the handwriting of my
dad who is in his mid 80s.
