For those who use Krita, how do you add text to your comics?

I use Krita to do all of my comic work, but I have a lot of trouble with adding text. The text editor in Krita is very hard to use and I haven't been able to figure it out. I like the look of handwritten text, but it takes a lot of time and work. If anyone else uses Krita, do you have any tips on how to use the text editor, or do you use some other software to add your text?

When I used Krita, I also used a program called Gimp. It's a free program that kinda works like a budget Photoshop. It's text tool is really good and easy to use.
My biggest complaint with Krita was the text tool.

sometimes krita makes text blurry not sure why , maybe I'm not good at using it, I prefer medibang, I use medibang on adding text,

Honestly I really like Krita and haven’t noticed text going blurry, for handwriting I just recommend going to some free font sites and downloading them, is that possible??

Hehe I just add text in FireAlpaca (it's a free program too).

Okay, tips for text in Krita:

• Get a free font of your liking like @RosesnWater says and add it to your system fonts folder. There are tutorials on how to.

• Text in Krita takes place in vectorial layers.
  You can add several texts in the same vectorial layer, you just have to make sure you're in it before creating a new text bit.
  If you do it while being on any other edition layer, a new vectorial layer will be created.
  You can also copy and paste editable texts from one vectorial layer to another.
  If you copy a text and paste it on an edition layer, it'll become a drawing

• Write your text in the text box, select it all, and then you can do all the modifications you wanna.
  You can find your chosen font just by entering the first letters in the font box.
  If you want the text to be in bubble format, you gotta separate the bits manually.
  If you ever need the text to be a very specific color, you can use the color selector in the right, it can take any colour anywhere in the program screen

• To move and modify the text you can use any of these:
  The mouse looking tool, the one right aside the T from the Text tool.
  To transformation tool, same you use to modify a drawing.
  And the move tool right aside it.

For most of my comics, I've been handwriting the text because Krita's text tool is such a hassle. On the plus side, I've relearned how to make my handwriting much better since it's kind of degraded since graduating from school. Also, I feel like it's forced me to be a lot more economical with delivering information since I really don't want to write a lot. Since I do gag comics, it really helps with making sure I keep my jokes quick and snappy.

However, I've been working on another comic lately that's more in the style of a manga, so I've been using the text tool again for that project since my handwriting wouldn't match the theme as much and it's a lot more text-heavy than my usual fare. I've gotten a lot more competent with how the tool operates (@xabelmind covers a good amount of what I ended up learning on my own) but it's still a lot of trouble to work with.
