Free Comic Book day?

Since I came to the U.S. I've missed two...:(

But I was wondering if Webcomic artists should celebrate it too, and if so,any cool suggestions on what to giveaway?

Yes, yes, yes! Always participate in your local free comic book day. Giving out tiny digest sized zines is a great way to get your name out to your local community

It's good to table at a particIpating comic store. We usually sell a good amount in printed books, fan art, and commission sketches. It's like a mini comic convention. And yes, we hand out free mini comics, even though we do that at every comic convention.

FCBD isn't as huge in Sweden as it is in the states, but the comic book stores in Stockholm do hand out the FCBD-comics and it's nice thing to visit - I usually go to pick up a free comic, and also take the opportunity to buy something. You gotta pitch in where you can! XD

The comic store owners have also let local artists put their own home-printed 'zines on the FCBD-tables, which is neat! One of these years, I'll have the time to put something together for FCBD myself.

I just found out one of my local comic book stores partakes in this event!!! How exciting! Since I'm a noob, do you guys mind if I ask how many copies should be given to them? 20? More? I was thinking of making booklets of the first 2 chapters with info on the inside on where they could read the rest and other information, so these would be around 30 pages (give or take).

Ahh didn't even think about participating in FCBD in any significant way, but now that you mention it, looking up local comic stores and offering samples could be a fun way to participate.

Also, to answer @EbonyKaze, how about offering to do guest comics or fan art for fellow webcomic artists? You can take the first 5 people that respond. Or, you can also take suggestions for mini-comics of your OCs that you release throughout the day/week.
