Free comic confusion & app questions

Hi! I’m new to tapas and just discovered the forums, so I wanted to ask here. I see that the app has listed “free comics daily”. Does this mean only for small creators, who you can read up until posted, or that all official comics have a daily pass system?

Also, wanted to ask about the AppStore rating. Since I might as well ask: is the app really 17+, or is that only there because of “sensitive” content? I’m decently confident the Apple App Store doesn’t allow NSFW (18+) work/comics/art on it, so I’m wondering if this is more along the lines of Webtoon, Google, Etc. How it could have sensitive content, but won’t show nsfw content beyond gore.

There are thousands of Free to Read comics on Tapas. Some are created by individual artists, some are created by teams, some are by professionals, and some are by amateurs. Anything under the Free to Read section is entirely free, no strings attached. Anything that is listed as Premium has the capacity to be either free or paid, depending on the individual series. You can unlock episodes with coins, which you can get by doing surveys and stuff.

Tapas technically does host series that can contain mature content if they're properly tagged as mature. I think you can't view certain mature series through the app, but they can be viewed on Tapas in a browser. Even the mature series have to follow certain content guidelines though from what I understand.

Well, some strings attached - Free to Read Series can still be Early Acess, but then it means that it's fully viewable on app, and desktop has to wait. Still all free as mentioned, though.
