Thank God for this! I am so glad you told me about it awhile ago, thought I didn't need it then...it came handy right now! I was about to cry on how I was going to splice my prologue that couldn't be separated so easily as my panel cause of the way I did...then croppy came to the rescue!!

If there is a way to send Ko-fi or something let me know cause this save me hours of headache! xP

Saw it, kind of small, probably why I didn't see it first lol Ok, Ko-fi ammount sent

Did the size requirements change? Tapas now says the length can be up to 4000px and up to 40 images. The tool works great, but it splits my comic to 59 images, which went over the limit.

the problem is tapas also has a file size limit, and allowing the full dimensions of 940x4000px of a PNG can sometimes cause the image to go over the 2mb size limit. So croppy tends to chop the comic slightly shorter to help guarantee you won't run into the file size limit- I don't remember what the max length is, I can ask my husband.

If you're getting more than 40 images than you're file is either too long to begin with, or you're feeding it too many small files that are just long enough to require croppy but are short enough that croppy is making some of the slices small.

For example if you feed it a 940x4500 picture, and say croppy cuts pictures to a height of 3000 for tapas(Again I don't know how high it actually is I'm just using this as an example) then you'd get an image that is 940x3000, and another image that is 940x1500. Which is fine for one image, but if you upload 21 of these suddenly you get 42 pieces and it's not going to fit the 40 image limit. However if you had combined all these images into one long strip croppy would have cut it to to 32 pieces which would have been fine.

hey folks- new to croppy and to the forums- and to tapas- but I've been using croppy over on webtoon for my comic "Skullby and Gourdo" - I do the whole comic in procreate and then export from the iPad... the first few times it worked great- now there's a HUUUUUGE lag to the point it only gets to 1/3 or 2/3 images... I usually save right to the ipad and then run the book mark like the instructions/video said.. I normally export as Jpg or Png... any ideas?

Hmm I can ask my hubs about it. The website extension is for me as well slower than the normal croppy simply because it must communicate with webtoon/tapas. Sometimes for me I think it's not working and I'm about to close it and then it starts doing it's thing and I realize I was just being impatient. So I guess my question is how long do you wait for it before you consider it failing? How huge is huuuuuge lag to you?

The croppy code only runs from when you select an image, till when you see 1/3 images or whatever 1/10. After that the code is uploading the pictures to webtoons and that is what is slow (so its a problem with your browser, tablet, or internet, or webtoons). I suggest you just reboot your router & tablet.

Webtoons code supports uploading multiple images at a time, but I overrode that code10 and only upload one at a time. I did this temporarily to troubleshoot something, and have no desire to go back test again to validate removing the change. I just checked and webtoons does 3 instead of 1 by default.

Hi Folks! I figured it out- the image was HEEEEE-UGE width wise so I dropped it down to the normal 800px wide and it works like a charm again!

Just thought I'd update- Croppy has changed my life for the better in regards to my webtoon series...

Thanks!

Phil

hello, i've been trying to use the slicer for my comic that i want to upload to line webtoon but whenever I go to upload it, it say's invalid file format only JPG is allowed.
When I looked at the file it is JPEG.
is they anything I can do to change that? thanks

Croppy gives you slices images that a JPG if you select for webtoons. Not JPEG so I'm not sure what you are talking about.

If you're using an apple device you may want to try the croppy extension instead (I know some apple devices convert all images to JPEG regardless)

There is a video on how to use the extension if you are confused.

Hello croppy
Your website don’t work today, I tested chrome Google and Safari, I can’t download files

are you using the most up to date link https://knicknic.github.io/croppy/18 ?
The forum won't let me edit the first post, but that was the old version and it got moved to github awhile ago.

This link is working just fine for me. so if you're having issues it may be the file you are trying to upload

Thank you for providing us a free image slicer!! But it kinda doesn't work for me. It does slice(?) my image but when I try to save it "can't save image no internet connection" pops up so I wanted to ask if I do something wrong?
