I was just about to suggest Resolve until I scrolled down. My only complaint is the steep-ish learning curve that can be intimidating to some, but I would still recommend.

I recently got Shotcut for free. I've used it once to cut and speed up screen capture footage, as well as add music. Looked up tutorials for each thing I wanted to do, and it didn't take more than a few minutes to figure out, generally. I've used it the one time, but I'd recommend it for being simple and free. ^^

After a long, difficult search (a few months ago), I found VSDC:
http://www.videosoftdev.com/free-video-editor13

I haven't actually done a lot of exploring on it yet; at the time, I was really tired and just happy I'd finally found something that didn't make my carefully-crafted original music tracks sound like clippy garbage.

Tbh, I think the interface is a bit complicated, although you can tell it has a lot of functionality. I'm sure speeding up footage is within its capabilities, and I already know you can add multiple tracks.

P.S. If you really liked Movie Maker (I do, and I still plan to use it for non-music-related things) I think you can download older versions of it for free. I'm pretty sure I have an old version of it that I found online somewhere...I don't know if it's Win7, but it's the same one I used when I was a kid.

Old Movie Makers may not be reliable, I downloaded one before Davinci and time after I had to delete it cause my antivirus found it was downloading shit on my laptop :disappointed_relieved:

I use AVS Video Editor9. It's simple and quite lightweight (the latter becomes true when you have enough RAM on your PC to place all those heavy HD video clips. Otherwise, you risk getting crashes when you have a dual-core processor). Aside from these, it's great for easy editing.

If you're looking for more fancy effects and text animations, I recommend Corel Videostudio. I use it to create music videos for anime, kdramas, etc. Quite easy to use, too. For me, at least.

VideoPad has a free version to download, but I think you can only have up to two audio tracks stacked. I only need two, but I ended up buying it cause I think they have weird stipulations about monetizing videos...I could be wrong. I think you can use it and upload videos so long as you aren't making money.

the simplest program that i've found is open shot video editor. it's like iMovie for windows. it's a very very simple interface. get's what you need done in a very easy to understand way. it looks like movie maker too.

I know one free video cutter1 allows you to edit your videos as you like, which is TunesKit Free Video Cutter, running on both Windows and Mac computers. Apart from being totally free, it provides various editing tools, you can trim, convert and extract media files. You can also crop and rotate, add subtitles, watermark, background music to videos, apply video and audio effects. etc.

Among a list of free video editor software, I like Joyoshare Video Cutter most, a built-in tool of a video toolbox called Joyoshare VidiKit. It has some simple yet powerful editing features, such as cutting, cropping, rotating, watermarking, merging, converting, etc.

Hi,

I personally use this video editor: AceMovi.

This tool can allow you to easily add multiple video or audio tracks. Of course, to add your favorite photo is also OK.

If you want a free software, your may try its free version.
