I've always had a distinct preference for third person omniscient, in both everything I've read, and in my own writing. I love being able to inhabit several character's heads and really see what makes them tick. This is true for comics as well as novels, though in comics it's a little more external since most of my dialogue is spoken rather than internal.
In my comic, I'm mostly following one character, though there will be scenes which feature other characters without him being there. I have a huge cast, too, often separated in distinct locations, so there'll be a lot of switching around.
I write my comic as though it's a TV show, just with static images rather than animations, so hopping between different characters in different places should feel pretty standard.
