Fussing Over GL

Hello.

I am, even to myself, a fussy a reader.
Recently i noticed that i really enjoy reading BL comics and translated novels, they have the pace and romantic intrigue and atmosphere that makes me giddy. However, for equally as long I’ve been struggling to enjoy GL comics for the reasons above. So now I need help...
I’ve been thinking of ways to find something I’ll enjoy. Please share your suggestions if they meet my criteria in anyway.
• Alpha + Omega (dom+sub)
• Alpha+ Alpha
• Thick MC or thick Love interest. (I noticed I’m put off by fragile looking fl to fl leads)
• Masc presenting Fl
For all of the above, please only suggest comics and or novels where the MC is over 18 preferably over or in their 20s. As someone in their late 20s I feel like a perv reading about teenage romance. (No judgement intended, I just don’t feel comfortable enjoying it.

No need to force yourself to like a genre that doesn't grab your attention. GL and BL tend to have different focus in how they present the main characters and how the romance evolves. In a way forcing yourself to like GL is like trying to force yourself to like medieval fantasy when you only like modern fantasy or vice versa.

I am an avid fan of GL and classic romance fantasies. But I don't really enjoy reading BL and there is nothing wrong with that. I have found that trying to force yourself to like something will only cause you to dislike it even more.

I 100% agree with you. Somethings just aren't for everyone. I just want to be absolutely sure that it's a genre that's not for no matter the variance. So again if you know anything that fit's into my requirements, please share 🥹.

Hard to say.
Your specific likes make it difficult. GL romance isn't usually divided strictly as "alpha + omega" and those who are. Usually have dark stories but the FLs aren't "thick".

Most of the time one could describe the FLs as physically weak looking even if they have unhuman strength like a vampire.

It is rare to see a masculine presenting FL that would please a BL lover. I have seen some but usually it is on teenage drama GL. Adult females in GL tend to look more feminine with a strong female character but they physically don't look strong. They are strong they just don't look the part.

Again I have seen a muscular type girl but usually it is teenage drama. Maybe someone else can find exactly what you are looking for.
